Is colonoscopy for rectal cancer contagious?

Cancer is a disease that is difficult to cure completely. It has claimed the lives of countless people. However, the current medical level has made great progress compared to the past, so many cancer patients can be cured. For example, many patients with rectal cancer have a great chance of being cured if they actively cooperate with the treatment during the illness.

Is colonoscopy for rectal cancer contagious? Experts suggest that colon cancer is not contagious. There are three conditions for contagion: the source of infection, the route of transmission and the susceptible population. Clinical data prove that cancer patients themselves are not the source of infection.

Most early stage rectal cancers are asymptomatic. When the disease develops to a certain extent, there will be changes in bowel habits, bloody stools, bloody and purulent stools, tenesmus, constipation, diarrhea, etc. The stools gradually become thinner. In the late stage, there will be defecation obstruction, weight loss, and even cachexia. When the surrounding tissues such as the bladder, urethra, and vagina are invaded, there will be symptoms of urinary tract irritation, fecal discharge from the vagina, pain in the sacrum and perineum, and lower limb edema.

There are many people fighting cancer now, and they are very successful. Therefore, even if you have advanced colorectal cancer, you cannot give up. You should find a professional hospital for treatment, persist in treatment, and take anti-cancer drugs to control the spread of cancer cells.

Maintain an optimistic attitude, do not be discouraged, do not give up on yourself, believe that hard work may bring about miracles, family members should give patients greater support, try to prevent patients from having too much emotional pressure, and be sure to pay attention to the way family members communicate, because at this time the patient's heart is particularly fragile and sensitive, much more fragile than we think.
