There are 4 treatments for bone cancer

Bone cancer is the most difficult disease to treat among orthopedic diseases, and the prognosis of malignant bone cancer is poor. Bone cancer can be divided into primary and secondary. Primary refers to tumors that grow from the bone tissue itself, which are mostly benign and mainly occur in adolescents aged 15 to 24. Secondary refers to tumors that metastasize from other parts of the body, which are mostly malignant and mainly occur in the elderly.

Since bone cancer progresses slowly, X-rays are an important test for diagnosing bone cancer. Blood tests and magnetic resonance imaging can also be performed for further diagnosis. If the diagnosis is still uncertain, a puncture biopsy can be performed. Incisional biopsy is prohibited at this time, otherwise limb-saving surgery cannot be performed.

Treatments for bone cancer include surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and Chinese medicine. It is best to combine Chinese and Western medicine, because Chinese medicine can regulate patients after surgery and has a good effect on side effects caused by radiotherapy or chemotherapy, such as gastrointestinal reactions and bone marrow reactions.

Reminder: After being diagnosed with bone cancer, you must receive regular treatment in a timely manner. Avoid seeking medical treatment indiscriminately or using folk remedies indiscriminately. If you miss the best treatment time, then amputation surgery will be the only option.
