There are sequelae of spinal anesthesia

When a woman is about to give birth, she will undergo many examinations to ensure the safety of both the baby and the mother. Some people choose cesarean section for many reasons. Although cesarean section is a popular method of delivery nowadays, it requires anesthesia in the spine during this process, which will cause some effects on the mother, which are the sequelae after anesthesia.

Spinal anesthesia has sequelae

1. Low back pain and physical discomfort:

Some women will experience back pain or pain where anesthesia was given after a cesarean section, and some may even experience fatigue. This is most likely a sequelae of the anesthesia. Generally, this symptom is relatively mild and will not last too long. It is usually felt by more sensitive women. Experts say that most women who have just given birth believe that the side effects of anesthesia are psychological, and only a small number of people actually suffer from side effects due to anesthesia.

2. Memory loss:

People who are given anesthesia will be unconscious for a short period of time. Generally, women in labor will experience short-term memory loss or unconsciousness after taking anesthesia. Usually this situation will recover in a few hours. The drug components retained in the horse's body will also be decomposed and excreted within a certain period of time. If a woman feels that her memory is impaired after anesthesia during a caesarean section, it is mostly due to psychological factors.

3. Cause some complications:

If local anesthesia is used during a caesarean section, some women may experience headaches or back pain, and the symptoms vary from person to person. If you choose general anesthesia, you will feel dizzy, dry throat, nausea and vomiting.

4. General anesthesia

in the country, most people choose partial anesthesia for caesarean section, and fewer people choose general anesthesia. Intrathecal anesthesia is a good anesthesia method with minimal impact on the mother and fetus. However, in some special cases, general anesthesia may be more appropriate. During pregnancy, pregnant women are more likely to have difficulty intubating than other people due to obesity and edema of the respiratory mucosa. Foreign studies have confirmed that pregnant women are more likely to suffer from aspiration during general anesthesia, which affects their ventilation function.
