How to cut the side nails of paronychia

How to cut the side nails of paronychia

Although paronychia is a relatively common nail disease, most of the time it is quite serious and can cause great pain to patients. For patients with paronychia, it is necessary to trim their nails regularly to prevent the paronychia from developing into a serious condition. Because paronychia is mainly a disease in which the edge of the nail grows towards the inside of the fingertip flesh, when patients with paronychia trim their nails, how should they trim the sides of the nails?

When paronychia first occurs, one side of the nail groove will become red, swollen and painful. It may become purulent and infected within a short period of time, and may spread to the base of the nail and the opposite nail groove, forming perionychia, or it may spread to the subungual area to form a subungual abscess. At this time, the pain intensifies and the swelling is obvious. Yellow-white pus can be seen under the nail floating up the nail. If not treated in time, it may develop into purulent dactylitis and even cause phalangeal osteomyelitis. It may also become chronic paronychia, persistent paronychia or subungual abscess. Because the infection is relatively superficial, the systemic symptoms are often not obvious.

Paronychia is more common in teenagers or women. Generally, it can occur on the fingers or on the toes. Those who have it on the fingers often have the bad habit of biting their fingers, while those who have it on the toes are often caused by secondary infection of ingrown toenails. In the toes, it is usually caused by ingrown toenails or tight shoes, and most often occurs in the big toe.

If you have an ingrown toenail, you must trim it. Otherwise, if it remains there, the nail will pierce the flesh. The feet are also prone to infection, and this will create a vicious cycle, and the inflammation will become more and more serious! Therefore, in the process of improvement, you must clean the ingrown toenail. Only when the ingrown toenail is cleaned and there is no constant irritation from the ingrown toenail can the inflammation be easily eliminated.

1. After applying the analgesic, use ingrown nail nippers to trim off the excess nails.

2. After trimming the ingrown nail, apply Nail Repair Solution. Generally, the nail will gradually return to normal in less than a month.
