What foods should you avoid when taking anti-inflammatory drugs?

People's bodies are constantly changing, and some changes occur under the influence of disease. For example, inflammation problems can cause symptoms such as fatigue and may also cause swelling of the inflamed area. The best way to treat inflammation is to take anti-inflammatory drugs, but most anti-inflammatory drugs are very strong and can cause serious complications when reacting with other foods. Therefore, you must understand the contraindications of taking anti-inflammatory drugs. Let’s take a look at the foods that should be avoided when taking anti-inflammatory drugs.

1. Anti-inflammatory drugs should not be taken with milk, mung beans and other foods, as this will affect absorption. In addition, they should not be taken at the same time with live bacteria preparations such as lactase, as antibiotics can kill these live bacteria.

2. Aspirin conflicts with alcohol. Alcohol is first oxidized into acetaldehyde in the body and then into acetic acid. Aspirin will hinder the oxidation of acetaldehyde into acetic acid, causing acetaldehyde accumulation in the body, aggravating symptoms such as fever and body pain, and easily causing liver damage.

Ibuprofen conflicts with coffee and cola. Ibuprofen is irritating to the gastric mucosa, while the caffeine in coffee and the cocaine in cola will stimulate the secretion of gastric acid, aggravating the side effects of ibuprofen on the gastric mucosa and even inducing gastric bleeding and gastric perforation.

3. Antibiotics conflict with milk and fruit juice. Do not drink milk or juice 2 hours before or after taking antibiotics, because milk will reduce the activity of antibiotics and make it impossible to fully exert its effect; and the fruit acid rich in fruit juice (especially fresh juice) will accelerate the dissolution of antibiotics, which will not only reduce the efficacy but may also increase toxic side effects.

4. The injection solution says not to eat braised tofu. In fact, cephalosporins cannot be taken with alcohol. It is best not to drink alcohol after 1 week of stopping the medication. Oral medications have no special requirements for food and drugs. You can take them half an hour apart from regular Chinese and Western medicines.

5. When taking anti-inflammatory drugs for yourself, you must use them reasonably, because most anti-inflammatory drugs are antibiotics. If antibiotics are not used reasonably, they may even bring you a lot of inconvenience or even life-threatening. You should only take this anti-inflammatory drug when you really have inflammation. This can reduce inflammation, but you must not take it randomly when there is no inflammation. You should also pay attention to these matters.
