Tea allergy symptoms

Tea allergy symptoms

Although tea is a beverage we often drink in our daily life, and there are many varieties of tea in my country, especially those containing tea polyphenols and other substances beneficial to human health, they are deeply loved by people. However, some people may be allergic to tea. What are the main symptoms of tea allergy? Some people who are allergic to flowers may experience dizziness and nausea, and people who are allergic to tea can only choose to give up drinking tea.

1. Symptoms of tea allergy

Generally speaking, unless you are allergic to certain ingredients in tea (such as tea polyphenols, tannic acid, tannins, etc.), drinking tea will not cause allergies. Some people who are allergic to certain flowers may experience allergic reactions when drinking scented tea, especially rose tea and aster flower tea, which may cause dizziness, nausea, allergic rashes and other reactions in people who are allergic to flowers, so you need to be careful or avoid drinking scented tea.

2. Causes of tea allergy

There are many factors that cause allergies, and it is inaccurate to judge that you are allergic to tea simply by drinking tea. Nowadays, many people drink tea with food. If they accidentally eat food that is incompatible with tea, it will cause allergies. If you happen to drink tea that is not suitable for your constitution, adverse reactions will occur. In addition, if you drink white tea or black tea that has been stored for a long time, it may cause allergies due to the deterioration of the tea leaves during storage.

3. Characteristics of common teas

1. Green tea: People with allergies may vomit easily after drinking green tea. Most of China's famous teas are green teas. Since there is no fermentation step in the manufacturing process, their nutritional value is higher than other types, but their chlorophyll content is also higher, which has a greater irritation to the stomach and intestines. Patients with gastric ulcers cannot drink green tea.

2. Tieguanyin: Do not drink on an empty stomach. Tieguanyin is a semi-fermented tea. Due to its short fermentation period, it is still cold in nature, has outstanding fat-burning and digestion-promoting effects, and has a special and rich tea aroma. But you can’t drink Tieguanyin on an empty stomach, otherwise, you will easily get tea drunk.

3. Oolong tea: must be brewed with 100℃ boiling water. Oolong tea is neither cold nor hot, but spicy, cool, sweet and moist. It is a neutral tea suitable for most people. Because the tea leaves are coarse and old, they must be brewed with 100℃ boiling water.
