Early symptoms of lymphogranuloma

Early symptoms of lymphogranuloma

Now when it comes to lymphogranuloma sex-related, some people may not know much about it. It belongs to the first generation of sexually transmitted diseases, and is also called the fourth sexually transmitted disease. Like other sexually transmitted diseases, lymphogranuloma sex-related is highly contagious, and the symptoms may not be very obvious when the disease first occurs. The existence of the incubation period is often not easy to be discovered in time. So, what are the early symptoms of lymphogranuloma? Let’s take a look below.

1. Incubation period: There is a history of unclean sexual life, and the incubation period is 7-10 days.

2. Early symptoms: Initial sores mostly occur on the penis shaft, glans, coronal sulcus and foreskin of males, and around the vaginal vestibule, labia minora, vaginal opening and urethral opening of females. They are extremely small blisters and ulcers of 5-6 mm, usually single, sometimes several, with no obvious symptoms, and do not heal for several days. No scars are left after healing. It can also occur around the anus, in the mouth, etc.

3. Mid-term symptoms: 1-4 weeks after the initial sore appears, male inguinal lymph nodes swell (bubo the fourth venereal disease), with pain, tenderness, adhesion, fusion, and a visible "groove sign" (the inguinal ligament separates the swollen lymph nodes up and down, and the skin appears grooved). After several weeks, the lymph nodes soften and rupture, discharging yellow serous fluid or bloody pus, forming multiple fistulas that resemble a "watering pot". They do not heal for several months and leave scars after healing. The first sores in women often occur in the lower part of the vagina, and flow back to the iliac and rectal lymph nodes, causing lymphadenitis and proctitis in this area. Clinically, there may be blood in the stool, bloody and mucous stool, abdominal pain, diarrhea, tenesmus, and low back pain, forming perianal swelling, fistula, rectal stenosis, and elephantiasis of the labia majora and minora.

4. Late symptoms: After several years or decades, long-term recurrent inguinal lymphangiitis can cause pubic elephantiasis, rectal stenosis, etc.

5. Systemic symptoms: During the period of lymphadenopathy and suppuration, there may be systemic symptoms such as chills, high fever, joint pain, fatigue, and hepatosplenomegaly. There are also skin erythema multiforme, erythema nodosum, conjunctivitis, sterile arthritis, and pseudomeningitis.

prevention

Lymphogranuloma can be avoided by taking the following preventive measures:

1. Lymphogranuloma is mainly transmitted through sexual intercourse. Keeping oneself clean is the best way to stay away from this disease.

2. The diagnosis of this disease often requires multiple laboratory tests, such as complement fixation test, immunofluorescence test, pathogen culture, and even biopsy. Therefore, once you suspect you are ill, you should go to a regular hospital to avoid delaying treatment.

3. When lymphogranuloma develops to different stages, it is often easily confused with certain diseases. For example, in the early stages, it is easily confused with early syphilis, genital herpes, chancroid and other diseases; in the late stages, it often needs to be differentiated from malignant tumors, tuberculosis, mononucleosis and other diseases. Therefore, after becoming ill, you must go to a regular hospital for a systematic examination to avoid diagnostic and treatment errors.

4. After suffering from this disease, it is necessary to seek early treatment to avoid multi-organ stenosis in the late stage which often requires surgical operation to solve.
