Can I wash my hair at night

Washing your hair is a cleaning task that everyone must do, but you also need to choose the right time to wash your hair, otherwise it will cause certain harm to your body. For example, you should try to avoid washing your hair during menstruation, otherwise it is easy for the uterus to catch cold and cause dysmenorrhea. If you need to wash your hair at night, you should blow it dry as soon as possible after washing. You can go to sleep only after your hair is dry, otherwise it will cause gout problems.

Many female friends wash their hair before going to bed at night. If they have enough time to wait for their hair to be completely dry before going to sleep, there is no big problem. However, many people often wash their hair after 10 o'clock in the evening. After washing, they feel tired and sleepy, and often fall asleep before their hair is completely dry.

In this case, the older generation said that when you get old, you will find out the consequences of doing so, because it will cause headaches. In fact, this statement is not just something the older generation says to scare us, it has been confirmed by modern scientific research.

During the metabolism process, the human body continuously generates heat to maintain body temperature. This heat is also transferred to the body's surface through the blood circulation, and continuously dissipated to the outside world through radiation, conduction, convection and evaporation. People with strong physical resistance have normal body temperature regulation function. Through regulation, the two processes of heat production and heat dissipation are balanced. That is, when the body temperature tends to drop, heat production increases and heat dissipation decreases, so that the body temperature remains at around 37°C.

People with weak physical resistance have poor ability to automatically regulate body temperature and maintain normal body temperature, so they are prone to catching a cold when the whole body or a part of it is exposed to cold. When we wash our hair with hot water, the warm effect causes the capillaries in the scalp to expand, and the amount of heat radiated to the surrounding area by the body increases. At the same time, because the hair is wet after washing, a large amount of water evaporates, taking away a lot of heat. Generally, when one gram of water evaporates, 500 calories are taken away.

Due to the increased heat dissipation, the body is frozen, and the upper respiratory tract capillaries contract reflexively, the local blood flow decreases, and the upper respiratory tract resistance decreases, allowing the viruses or bacteria that have already existed in the local area to take advantage of the opportunity to enter, grow and multiply, causing an upper respiratory tract infection, and thus cold symptoms such as runny nose, nasal congestion, headache and even fever. It is best not to wash your hair before going to bed. If you fall asleep with your hair wet, the regulatory function of the body temperature regulation center will be low, making it more likely to catch a cold.

If you really only have time to wash your hair at night, then try to wash it early in the morning before working overtime or doing other things. In addition, you should make full use of the hair dryer. Generally, you can use the hair dryer to dry the moisture on the surface of the hair, which can make the hair dry faster. Of course, if you are in a hurry to go to bed, you can directly use the hair dryer to blow your hair until it is dry. Generally, women with not too long hair can dry it in 20 minutes. Making sure your hair is completely dry before going to bed can ensure your own health.
