Garlic can reduce inflammation and toothache

Garlic is a very common food in our daily diet. It can not only be used as a condiment for cooking, but also as a side dish and it tastes very good. Garlic tastes a bit spicy and is a warm food. It can kill bacteria and prevent physical diseases. It can also treat abdominal pain, diarrhea and other diseases. Garlic can also play an anti-inflammatory role in treating toothaches. You can mash the garlic and apply it on your teeth.

Can garlic reduce inflammation and treat toothache?

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that garlic is pungent and warm in nature, and can detoxify, kill insects, promote the flow of stagnant qi, warm the spleen and stomach, and eliminate accumulation. It can treat food stagnation, abdominal cold pain, diarrhea, dysentery, ringworms and other symptoms. You can peel a single garlic, heat it on the stove, cut it while it is hot, and apply it to the painful area. Replace the garlic when it cools down. Repeatedly applying it for several times will be effective. You can also mash the garlic, apply it to the painful area after it is warm.

Garlic was introduced to China from the Western Regions during the Qin and Han Dynasties. After artificial cultivation and breeding, it has anti-cancer effects and is deeply loved by the public. In addition, the sulfur compounds in garlic have extremely strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, and can inhibit and kill a variety of cocci, bacilli, fungi and viruses. It is one of the most powerful antibacterial plants discovered so far.

Elements such as germanium and selenium in garlic can inhibit the growth of tumor cells and cancer cells. Experiments have found that people with the lowest incidence of cancer are those with the highest selenium content in their blood.

First, we prepare a few cloves of garlic, and then the toothpicks we use in our daily lives. Then use a lighter and wait until it is burnt. When you smell the garlic fragrance, it's done. Then we peel off the skin and put it in your mouth, wherever it hurts.

Here is the second wonderful use of garlic. Similarly, we prepare two cloves of garlic, peel them, chop them, put them in a container, pour in the white vinegar we usually use, then stir it with chopsticks, stir it evenly and leave it for fifteen minutes. After fifteen minutes, you can use this, the water soaked with garlic cloves and white vinegar, hold it in your mouth once a day for three consecutive days to eradicate your toothache.

Garlic's "effects"

1. Sterilization and anti-inflammation:

Garlic has a killing effect on many pathogenic microorganisms, including epidemic meningitis virus, influenza virus, Japanese encephalitis virus, hepatitis virus, new cryptococcus that can cause severe meningitis, pneumococcus, candida, tuberculosis, typhoid, paratyphoid bacillus, amoeba, vaginal Trichomonas, rickettsia, Staphylococcus, Shigella dysenteriae, Vibrio cholerae, etc.

2. Prevent cancer:

Garlic can block the synthesis of carcinogens—nitrosamines, inhibit the growth of cancer cells, and have a killing effect on cancer cells. Garlic is rich in selenium, which can accelerate the decomposition of peroxides in the body, reduce the oxygen supply required by malignant tumors, and thus inhibit cancer cells. Scientists believe that garlic has a preventive effect on leukemia, oral cancer, esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, etc.

3. Prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases:

Another nickname given to garlic by scientists is "blood vessel scavenger". Researchers have found that people who eat garlic for a long time have much lighter deposits in the blood vessel walls than those who do not eat it. Deposition on the blood vessel walls is a major cause of cardiovascular disease. Over time, it can cause artery blockage and loss of elasticity, leading to stroke or myocardial infarction. Garlic can also lower blood lipids and blood viscosity, resist platelet aggregation, and greatly reduce the risk of heart disease, cerebral thrombosis and cerebral hemorrhage.

4. Enhance immune function:

Animal experiments have shown that the fat-soluble volatile oil in garlic can significantly improve the phagocytic function of macrophages and enhance the immune system.

5. Anti-aging:

Garlic contains protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, and can prevent blood vessel aging and immune decline.

6. Brain health and intelligence:

The ingredients in garlic combine with vitamin B1 in the human body to produce "alliamine", which can promote and exert the role of vitamin B1, enhance the energy supply of carbohydrate oxidation, provide sufficient energy for brain cells, and make the thinking agile.

People who should not eat garlic

Everything has two sides, and garlic also has its "taboo groups".

Patients with liver disease should not eat garlic: Many people believe that garlic can be antibacterial and antiviral, so they use eating garlic to prevent hepatitis. Some people even continue to eat garlic every day after suffering from hepatitis. This practice is extremely harmful to hepatitis patients because garlic has little effect on the hepatitis virus. On the contrary, some components of garlic can irritate the stomach and intestines, inhibit the secretion of intestinal digestive juices, affect food digestion, and thus aggravate nausea and many other symptoms in hepatitis patients. In addition, the volatile components of garlic can reduce the red blood cells and hemoglobin in the blood, and may cause anemia, which is not conducive to the treatment of hepatitis.
