Which ingredients of lotion have anti-inflammatory and repairing effects?

Lotion is a kind of skin care product that we use frequently in our daily life, especially for ladies who love beauty, lotion is an indispensable item. Lotion also has many functions. Different functions can prevent and combat some skin problems, and anti-inflammatory and repair are some of the functions that the skin needs more. Generally, lotion contains certain calming ingredients that can generally play an anti-inflammatory and repair role.

Which ingredients of lotion have anti-inflammatory and repairing effects?

Skin care products containing BHA ingredients have a bactericidal effect. But use it once or twice a week.

If you want to reduce inflammation and calm the skin, you can use rosehip essential oil. Rosehip essential oil has the effects of moisturizing, whitening, brightening, calming the skin, and effectively relieving skin allergies and various skin problems.

There is also jojoba essential oil. Jojoba essential oil is the most skin-friendly essential oil. It can unclog pores, regulate the oil secretion of oily or mixed skin, and improve rash, eczema, psoriasis, etc.

The difference between lotion and toner

Toner is a general term for skin softener, toner, astringent, moisturizing water, activating water, etc. It refers to the skin care step after facial cleanser and before lotion. They all have the effect of stabilizing the skin and balancing the acidity and alkalinity of the skin, but their respective focuses are different. Toner is just one type of makeup water. Let’s talk about it in detail below.

Toner

It has the function of removing aged cuticles, thus making the skin soft; it is generally weakly alkaline. Excellent moisturizing ingredients (such as intercellular lipids, NMF...) are added to make the skin moisturized and soft.

Toner

It can make the skin refreshed and clean after use. It is a relatively basic toner. Because of this, oily skin types generally prefer to use this type of toner, but when choosing, you need to pay attention to the fact that in addition to feeling refreshing, it must also have the function of replenishing moisture.

Astringent water

Tightens pores and controls sebum secretion. Best used only during the day. Some contain powders to absorb excess oil. Because it controls excessive oil secretion, it replenishes moisture while also having a good makeup-holding effect.

How to choose toner for different skin types

Dry skin → Toner

Oily skin → Astringent

Combination skin: Use astringent on the T-zone and softener or toner on other areas

Sensitive skin → Sensitive water, repair water

How to use lotion

Use toner, paper mask and freezing for "ice therapy" to shrink pores, control oil and prevent blackheads. Find a clean small plate, put a piece of paper film in it, slowly pour in toner (the paper film will slowly expand as it absorbs water), and after the paper film absorbs enough water, put the plate in the refrigerator (3 minutes in the freezer/8 minutes in the refrigerator). When the time is up, take out the plate, unfold the frozen paper mask, put it on your face, note the time, lie down quietly, after 15 minutes, remove the paper mask, and gently pat the toner that has not been absorbed on your face until it is completely absorbed.

In winter, the time you put it in the refrigerator can be shortened, or you can simply not put it in the refrigerator at all. If you want to shrink your pores, you must refrigerate it before use regardless of the season!

How to distinguish the quality of lotion

1. If the bottle of lotion is not transparent, don't buy it. Because it is impossible to identify it unless you have used it.

2. First, shake it vigorously and then look at the bubbles.

3. If the bubbles are fine and abundant, forming a thick layer that lasts for a long time, then it is good water.

4. If there are few bubbles, it means there are few nutrients.

5. If there are many bubbles but they are large, it means it contains salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is a good cleansing agent, but it is a bit irritating. People who are allergic to salicylic acid or have very sensitive skin should try not to use it.

6. If a lot of fine bubbles come out when you shake it but disappear quickly, it means it contains alcohol. This type of toner can be used occasionally to have an anti-inflammatory effect, but it should never be used for a long time as it can easily damage the skin's protection.
