The stomach is a relatively important part of the human body. The stomach is the part that digests food. If the stomach is uncomfortable, you should go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time. Belching is a common condition in the digestive tract. When the stomach has reflux esophagitis or chronic gastritis, belching may occur. You should pay attention to your diet, avoid eating irritating foods, and eat some foods that nourish the stomach and intestines. What causes belching? Let’s take a look at it next. 1. What causes the heat? A Chinese medicine term for belching. Commonly known as "burping" or "belching", it is one of the common symptoms of various digestive tract diseases. Especially reflux esophagitis, chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer and functional dyspepsia are often accompanied by belching symptoms. In traditional Chinese medicine, belching is considered as "upward movement of Qi". Belching is the sound made by gas in the stomach rising up the throat. The sound is long and slow, and was called "hiccups" in ancient times. It is also a manifestation of stomach qi disharmony and upward reflux. 2. In traditional Chinese medicine, belching is generally divided into the following three situations A. Food stagnation and belching: belching is accompanied by a sour and rancid smell (of indigestion), the belching sound is dull or nauseating, the belching attacks are discontinuous, there is a feeling of fullness and tightness in the chest and abdomen, loss of appetite, the stool has a sour and rancid smell (of indigestion) or constipation, the tongue coating is thick and greasy, and the pulse is slippery and firm. Improper diet, eating raw and cold fruits or sticky and difficult to digest foods, which damages the spleen and stomach. The foods are stagnant in the middle palace and cannot be digested, resulting in belching. The Treatise on the Origin of Diseases states: "If food is not digested, there will be bloating and gas reversal, which is why there is a tendency to belch and swallow acid." 2. External wind-cold can invade the stomach and cause belching. For example, the Treatise on Febrile Diseases says: "In case of febrile disease, sweating may occur. If vomiting or diarrhea is relieved, there may be a hard lump under the heart and belching that cannot be stopped." 3. Excessive worry and thinking can damage the spleen and stomach; or violent anger can damage the liver, and the liver qi can invade the stomach and cause belching. 4. Weak spleen and stomach after illness or in old age, as well as stomach deficiency and qi reversal, can cause belching. |
