What should I do if I have hemorrhoids and it hurts and bleeds when I poop?

Hemorrhoids are a very distressing disease. They are divided into external hemorrhoids and internal hemorrhoids. No matter which type of hemorrhoids, people will feel anal pain, foreign bodies in the anus and other symptoms, which seriously affect people's lives. If during the period of hemorrhoids, defecation is accompanied by blood outflow, we can apply some anti-inflammatory drugs externally and avoid strenuous exercise, which can effectively stop the bleeding. So, besides this, are there any other ways to stop bleeding?

1. Keep chrysanthemums dry

After suffering from hemorrhoids, the anus will continue to secrete some secretions. These secretions will cause bacteria to grow in such an environment, and the chance of hemorrhoid inflammation and infection will be greater. Patients need to clean their anus regularly and can use talcum powder if conditions permit.

2. Keep your mouth shut

Once you suffer from hemorrhoids, you must change your eating habits of "can't live without spicy food". Stop eating junk food, garlic, cumin, mustard, etc. and don't drink some alcoholic products, even if the alcohol content is not very high.

3. Don’t do strenuous exercise

It is inevitable to use your legs when exercising. Once the movement is too large or the friction is continuous, it will cause your anus to tear or rub. This will not only prevent you from exercising, but also make your small hemorrhoids become irritable and very annoying.

4. Apply anti-inflammatory drugs

Some medicines for hemorrhoids may not have much of a cure effect (hemorrhoids cannot be cured by medicine, they can only relieve the symptoms). We can use some anti-inflammatory drugs, even if it is a capsule, we can break the capsule apart and apply the powder to the affected area.

5. Strengthen nutrition

If you are a long-term hemorrhoid patient and your stool is not bleeding, you need to improve your nutrition in your daily diet. Because bleeding in the stool can lead to anemia, especially when internal hemorrhoids bleed after defecation, in this case, on the one hand, you need to actively treat the hemorrhoids, and on the other hand, you need to replenish blood and increase nutrition.

Prevention of hemorrhoids

1. Strengthen exercise

Regular participation in various sports activities can have a certain preventive effect on hemorrhoids. This is because physical exercise is beneficial in accelerating blood circulation, improving pelvic congestion, promoting gastrointestinal motility, and preventing constipation. On the other hand, you can consciously contract your anus upward, once in the morning and once in the evening, 30 times each time, to exercise your anal sphincter. Regular use can improve hemorrhoidal venous return and play a certain role in the prevention and self-treatment of hemorrhoids.

2. Reasonable diet

Your daily diet should avoid being too refined. You can eat more vegetables, fruits, beans and other coarse grains that are rich in vitamins and fiber. Drink plenty of water to keep the stool lubricated and unobstructed. Eat less spicy and irritating foods, such as peppers, garlic, onions, mustard, etc.

3. Get rid of bad habits during bowel movements

When you feel the urge to defecate, do not hold it in, because holding it in for a long time can inhibit physiological reflexes and gradually cause habitual constipation; squatting on the toilet for too long, reading newspapers, or exerting excessive force when defecating are all bad bowel habits and should be corrected.

4. Regular bowel movements

There is usually no feces in the rectum of a healthy person. With the upright reflex caused by getting up in the morning and the stomach and colon reflex caused by breakfast, the colon can produce strong "group peristalsis" to push the feces into the rectum. When the feces in the rectum accumulates to a certain amount, the urge to defecate will occur. Therefore, it is best to develop the habit of regular bowel movements every morning, which plays an extremely important role in preventing the occurrence of hemorrhoids.
