Scalp wound suppuration

Scalp wound suppuration

Scalp wound suppuration is quite common in our daily life. Some external forces may cause scalp wounds. If you do not pay attention to timely anti-inflammatory treatment, it may cause infection and lead to suppuration. Don’t worry too much about this situation. As long as it undergoes certain treatment, it generally will not affect hair growth. At this time, you should clean the wound in time to prevent reinfection and pay attention to diet conditioning.

How to deal with wound suppuration

1. Remove the scabs from the pus-containing part, wipe out the pus with a cotton swab, clean it with hydrogen peroxide, and then disinfect it with iodine and alcohol. Then cover it with yellow sand strips (that is, sand strips soaked in Laforet) and wrap it up. Started out once a day, then every other day. When there are no bubbles after washing with hydrogen peroxide, you can use oxytetracycline or sulfamethoxazole tablets, grind them into powder and sprinkle them on the surface and wrap it. It is very effective. There is redness and swelling around the wound. You can take clindamycin hydrochloride capsules or Yushangling capsules orally. It will get better slowly.

2. If the wound is not seriously festering, you can apply some mercurochrome and disinfectant. The prerequisite is that you must first treat the wound and clean the pus.

3. Salt can also be used to treat festering wounds. Add ginger and salt into boiling water, wrap the festering wound with gauze, and steam the wound in the boiling water with salt until the water is no longer hot. This method is the simplest steam method, which is clean and convenient and usually lasts about 5 minutes.

4. If a small wound becomes festered, you can use a clean band-aid after treating the wound. Be sure to change the medicine regularly to prevent infection.

What medicine to use for wound suppuration

1. For some sores with mild suppurative symptoms and relatively clean wounds, there is generally no need to use medication. The wound can be rinsed with saline or covered with Vaseline gauze.

2. For wounds or lesions with severe infection and suppuration: flush, wipe or apply wet compress with drug solution as appropriate.

3. For deep wounds with heavy secretions: rinse with 3% hydrogen peroxide, then fill with gauze strips or gauze soaked in 4% gentamicin solution or 0.1% revnol solution. If the wound cannot heal for a long time, apply a wet compress with a sealing formula.

4. Chronic ulcers or old granulation wounds: external application of cod liver oil ointment or muscle growth liquid has better effects. Note that when there is a lot of necrosis in the granulation tissue, targeted debridement treatment is needed to remove the necrotic tissue on the wound surface.
