How to make digestive bacteria yourself

How to make digestive bacteria yourself

Nitrifying bacteria are a type of chemotherapeutic organism. People who like to raise fish are more familiar with this nitrifying bacteria. It can promote the ecological balance in the fish tank, thus avoiding frequent water changes. This nitrifying bacteria can be purchased, and you can also make nitrifying bacteria yourself. Next, let’s learn how to make nitrifying bacteria ourselves. Let’s take a look at this aspect.

How to make your own digestive bacteria

Nitrifying bacteria are chemotrophic, autotrophic aerobic bacteria that use carbon dioxide as a carbon source and oxidize ammonia or ammonium salts into nitrates through metabolism. Can be grown on medium that does not contain organic carbon.

Nitrifying bacteria are autotrophic bacteria and can be regarded as producers. They include two completely different metabolic groups: nitrosomonas and nitrobacter, which include morphologically different rods, cocci and spiral bacteria. Nitrosogenic bacteria include bacteria in the genera Nitrosomonas, Nitrosococcus, Nitrosospira, and Nitrosolobus. Nitrate bacteria include bacteria in the genera Nitrobacter, Nitrococcus and Nitrocystis. Both types of bacteria are obligate aerobic bacteria and use oxygen as the final electron acceptor during the oxidation process. Most of them are obligate chemoautotrophs and cannot grow on organic culture media, such as Nitrosomonas, Nitrosospira, Nitrosococcus, Nitrosolobus, Nitrospina, Nitrococcus, etc. Only a few are facultative autotrophic and can grow on certain organic media, such as some strains of Nitrobacter winogradskyi.

From the morphological point of view, there are also diversity, such as spherical, rod-shaped, spiral, etc., but they are all non-spore-forming Gram-negative bacteria; some have flagella and can move, such as Nitrosomonas, which move by flagella all over the body; some have no flagella and cannot move, such as Nitrosomonas. They are generally distributed in soil, fresh water and sea water. Some bacteria are only found in sea water, such as Nitrococcus and Nitrosporus. Nitrifying bacteria are producers in the food chain.

DIY Cultivation of Nitrifying Bacteria

Go to the market and buy clams, dig out the meat or buy the shells directly, put them in a plastic bottle, about one-third of the capacity, and then fill it with RO water or mineral water (tap water is not allowed), close the lid tightly, and pour out the turbid water after about a week. This is the nitrifying bacteria, and it is (alive) nitrifying bacteria!!!

After pouring it out, refill it with water and it can be made again!! Remember not to put it in a place where the sun shines, it is best to put it in the bathroom!!!

This water smells bad, but it works! Fish won't be affected!

The amount of water in a two-foot tank is about two to three bottle caps. The water in the fish tank will smell very bad at first, but after three or four hours, the smell will be completely gone!!!

I am afraid that there are other bacteria in the tap water, which may accidentally defeat the nitrifying bacteria and cultivate bad bacteria instead.

It can be stored for a long time. Add it before going to bed and I guarantee that there will be no smell when you wake up the next day. You don’t need to buy nitrifying bacteria anymore. It’s cheap to make it yourself and the effect is amazing!!!! Natural is the best
