How to make up for staying up all night the next day

Staying up late is a behavior that is very harmful to the body. If you stay up late often, your body's metabolic function is likely to be disrupted, and your overall complexion will look very bad. The facial skin will also look quite dull. Therefore, after staying up late, you must take certain remedial measures to reduce the damage to your body. So what methods can you use to remedy the situation after staying up late?

How to recover from staying up late?

1. Get some sleep beforehand

If you are planning to stay up late at night, it is best to make up for the sleep during the day. If you can make up for 1 to 2 hours of sleep during the day, your sleep needs at night will be less, which can alleviate the pain of staying up late.

If you don't make up for the sleep during the day, and wait until late at night when you are extremely tired to drink coffee, it may not really refresh you. If you feel very tired halfway through working late at night, don't force yourself to keep going. A 10 to 30 minute nap will be very helpful. This is because staying up late will stimulate the autonomic nervous system and increase the heart rate and blood pressure. If you can rest for 30 minutes in the middle, it can reduce the increase in heart rate and blood pressure, your mood will be more stable, and it will also help you concentrate.

2. Midnight snack portion

The amount of midnight snack should be between 30% and 60% full, because eating too much will increase the burden on your stomach and make you more sleepy.

Starch can improve your nerves and mood, and help improve work efficiency. However, if the amount of starch in the midnight snack is too much, it will make people drowsy. You can pair it with some protein, such as half a bowl of noodles and a few thin slices of meat. Instant noodles are almost entirely starch and are not suitable for midnight snacks.

3. Make up for the sleep every other day

It takes seven days to make up for one day of staying up late. The day after staying up late should be used to make up for the sleep and adjust the day and night cycle. For example, it is best to take a nap at noon and avoid overdrawing your physical strength.

After returning home, you can take a hot bath to speed up blood circulation and eliminate fatigue quickly. Modern people generally lead a sedentary life and lack exercise. They may suffer from acute diseases such as myocardial infarction, cerebral stroke, etc. when they are over 30 years old. Especially after staying up late, acute diseases are more likely to occur.

4. Relax your muscles

Sitting at a desk or in front of a computer for a long time when staying up late will not only cause stiffness and soreness in the shoulders and neck, but also long-term typing and using the mouse will put a strain on the wrists.

① Stand up and move around, do some stretching exercises, which can relax tense muscles.

②Massage the temples, Fengchi acupoint and Hegu acupoint, press for 10 seconds and stop for 5 seconds, and do it for about 5 minutes. It has a refreshing effect.

③ Staring at a book or computer screen for a long time can cause your eyes to become dry easily. It is best to look away every 30 minutes.

④Drink wolfberry chrysanthemum tea to improve eye soreness.

5. Facial mask and eye mask

If you are worried that your complexion is dull due to lack of sleep, you can apply a facial mask or eye mask immediately after getting up to promote microcirculation in your face and quickly improve your complexion. The skin needs to be treated gently. Water that is too cold or too hot can cause irritation. Just use lukewarm water to cleanse.
