Astragalus for treating nephritis

Everyone is familiar with Astragalus, especially women. Many women drink some Chinese medicinal materials made of donkey-hide gelatin, red dates and Astragalus because of imbalance of qi and blood. 1. Astragalus root can treat chronic nephritis

【Functions and indications】Invigorates Qi and removes blood stasis, warms Yang and promotes diuresis, nourishes the kidney and strengthens the body. It is mainly used to treat chronic nephritis of long duration, kidney qi deficiency, stagnation of collateral vessels, poor qi transformation, water retention, kidney function damage, and lingering disease.

[Ingredients of the folk prescription] 30 grams of raw Astragalus, 20 grams of Epimedium, 15 grams of Gastrodia elata, 10 grams each of cooked Aconitum, Ligusticum chuanxiong, Safflower, whole Angelica, Dipsacus asper, and Achyranthes bidentata.

[Usage and Dosage] Use 100 grams of motherwort to boil the soup instead of water, take one dose per day, divided into morning and evening.

[Case Verification] This prescription was used with modifications to treat 81 patients. The results showed that 29 patients were clinically cured, 31 patients showed marked effects, 17 patients were effective, and 4 patients were ineffective. The total effective rate was 95%.

2. Cow Gall and Cinnamon for Chronic Nephritis

【Functions and indications】Detoxifies, dissipates stagnation, promotes blood circulation and removes blood stasis. Mainly used to treat chronic nephritis. Symptoms include persistent hematuria and proteinuria, accompanied by dizziness, fatigue, bitter taste in the mouth, dry mouth, edema, and low back pain.

[Prescription composition] 0.6 grams of artificial bezoar, 2 grams of cinnamon powder, 3 grams of Panax notoginseng powder, and 4 grams of amber powder.

[Usage and Dosage] Take 1 dose daily, divided into 2 doses.

[Case Verification] This prescription was used to treat 17 cases of chronic nephritis, of which 6 were clinically cured, 5 had significant efficacy, 5 were effective, and 1 was ineffective. The total effective rate was 94.1%.
