Is it useful to use a breast pump when milk is low?

After a baby is born, its stomach and intestines are not fully developed, so the foods that adults eat are not suitable for babies. Babies cannot digest those foods. Babies have a great demand for nutrition, and generally they can only supplement nutrition through breast milk or milk powder. A breast pump is an instrument used to help pregnant women to discharge milk. Some pregnant women have less milk, so is it useful to use a breast pump?

In this case, a breast pump is useless because your milk is not enough for your baby. In other words, your baby can drink up all the milk every time and there is no need to use a breast pump. A breast pump is mainly used when there is too much milk to be sucked out, or when there is too much milk for the baby to finish and the breasts are swollen and uncomfortable.

A breast pump is a good helper for breastfeeding mothers and is mainly suitable for three types of mothers. One type is sick mothers who cannot breastfeed during illness and have to use a breast pump to suck out the milk and then feed it to the baby.

The second type is mothers who pump milk from their breasts. When their milk is full, they work outside and then suck it out and bring it home to feed their babies. The third type is mothers with inverted nipples. Inverted nipples make it inconvenient for babies to breastfeed, but a breast pump can suck out the milk.

In addition, mothers with a lot of milk also need a good breast pump. After all, the baby cannot finish so much milk, and the milk engorgement and discomfort require a breast pump to be sucked out. It seems that breast pumps are very powerful, but mothers are beginning to worry about one issue: Will frequent use of breast pumps reduce milk production?

Will frequent use of a breast pump reduce milk production?

If you use a breast pump frequently, your milk will decrease, because the baby's sucking time is replaced by the breast pump. Only when the baby keeps sucking, the milk will continue to flow. No matter how good the milk-inducing diet is, it only has a supplementary effect. If you do not let the baby suck frequently, the milk will become less and less until it disappears.
