HSV, also known as the herpes virus, is a virus that has a great impact on the health of the human oral system or reproductive system. If you want to determine whether you have HSV, you need to do a series of tests, blood test is one of them. Through blood test, you can also confirm HSV in the human body. If you have it, you must get treatment in time. Below I will introduce you to the relevant knowledge about HSV. 1. The significance of blood test for HSV diagnosis HSV is the herpes virus, which is divided into two types: type 1 and type 2. Type 1 mainly infects the oral cavity, and type 2 mainly infects the genitals. Generally speaking, a negative test result means that you are not infected with the herpes simplex virus or that you have been infected but have now recovered. If there are clinical symptoms, it is likely caused by other reasons. 2. Prevention of HSV Because HSV has the potential to cause cancer, live attenuated and killed vaccines are not suitable for use in humans. Various vaccines currently under research, such as envelope protein (purified gG, gD) subunit vaccines, gB, gD gene recombinant vaccinia virus vaccines and polypeptide vaccines, have shown good results in animal experiments and have application prospects. If a pregnant woman is infected with HSV-2 in the birth canal, the newborn can be given an injection of immunoglobulin after delivery for emergency prevention. 3. Treatment of HSV IDU, cytarabine (Ara-C), adenosine (Ara-A), bromvinyl uridine (BVDU) and the like are effective in treating herpetic keratitis, and their efficacy can be enhanced when used in combination with interferon. In China, HSvgCgD monoclonal antibody is used to make eye drops for the treatment of herpetic keratitis, with significant therapeutic effects. Acyclovir (ACV) is a drug that is highly selective for herpes viruses. ACV must be activated by HSV thymidine kinase (TK) to be phosphorylated into monophosphorylated ACV, and then phosphorylated into diphosphorylated and triphosphorylated ACV by cellular kinase. ACV-ATP is highly competitive with dGTP and can terminate viral DNA synthesis. ACV is mainly used to treat genital herpes infections, shortening local detoxification time and accelerating local healing. In addition, ACV is also commonly used to treat cold sores, herpes encephalitis, neonatal herpes, herpetic keratitis, etc., and is effective. Adenosine (Ara-A) can be phosphorylated into active Ara-ATP through the action of host kinase, selectively inhibiting HSV polymerase and terminating viral DNA synthesis. Since Ara-A does not require the action of HSvTK enzyme, it can be used to treat infections caused by ACV-resistant strains (TK-strains). It can prevent the serious deterioration of herpetic keratitis and reduce the mortality of herpetic encephalitis and HSV systemic infection. Acyclovir: It mainly inhibits herpes viruses, and is most effective against HSV-I and HSV-II. It is almost non-toxic when taken orally. During intravenous drip, leakage of the drug may cause local inflammation. Intravenous drip administration too quickly may cause kidney damage. |
