What's wrong with my legs feeling weak and sore

What's wrong with my legs feeling weak and sore

Some people may feel uncomfortable in their legs after coming down from a mountain, for example, their legs may become weak while going down the mountain. This is normal and will be fine after resting for a while. But some people feel weak and sore in their legs even without any activity. Why is that? This requires consideration of the issue of disease. Sometimes kidney deficiency can cause leg discomfort; and symptoms of anemia can also make the legs weak and sore.

Why are my legs so weak and sore?

1. It may be kidney deficiency

Kidney deficiency refers to the deficiency of kidney essence, qi, yin and yang. Symptoms of kidney deficiency: Symptoms of kidney yang deficiency are low back pain, cold limbs, fear of cold, and even edema, which are symptoms of "cold". Poor sexual function can also lead to kidney yang deficiency; symptoms of kidney yin deficiency are "heat", mainly low back pain, dryness, night sweats, spontaneous sweats, dizziness, tinnitus, etc. Modern science has proven that when a person suffers from kidney deficiency, whether it is kidney yin deficiency or kidney yang deficiency, it will lead to a decrease in the person's immune ability, the kidney's microcirculation system will also be blocked, and the kidney network will become blocked.

2. It may be anemia

The presence or severity of anemia symptoms depends on the degree of anemia, the speed at which anemia occurs, whether there is a change in circulating blood volume, the patient's age, and the compensatory capacity of the cardiovascular system. Anemia occurs slowly and the body can gradually adapt. Even if the anemia is severe, physiological functions can still be maintained. On the contrary, if anemia occurs in a short period of time, even if the degree of anemia is not severe, obvious symptoms may appear. The symptoms are more obvious in the elderly and weak or those with decreased cardiopulmonary function.

3. It may be cerebrovascular disease

For lower limb weakness, the first thing to consider is whether it is unilateral or bilateral. If it is sudden unilateral weakness and not accompanied by pain, it is necessary to rule out whether it is caused by cerebrovascular disease, because cerebrovascular disease may cause hemiplegia.

How to treat leg weakness

The most likely reason for the legs to become weak at the same time is transient cerebral ischemia, which may also be caused by anemia. Calcium deficiency can also cause weak legs or cramps.

According to your current specific symptoms, it is recommended that you go to the internal medicine department of a regular hospital for examination as soon as possible. You must be on an empty stomach when you go to the doctor, because you need to do a fasting blood sugar test. If necessary, go to the hospital to check trace elements and measure blood pressure. Usually, you should eat more foods high in calcium, such as bones, shrimp skin, bone soup, fresh fish, live shrimp, and kelp.

You must eat foods that can produce blood every day, such as meat, fish, eggs and other foods. These foods are the source of blood, but the amount varies from person to person. In traditional Chinese medicine, Qi is generated in blood, and strength is generated in Qi. In other words, only when the blood is sufficient, the qi will be vigorous and the strength will be great.

Do more exercise and participate in more sports activities.

It is recommended to first treat conservatively. If conservative treatment is possible, surgery is not recommended. Surgery is the last treatment method. Generally, conservative treatments such as massage, traction, acupuncture, physical therapy, Chinese medicine and exercise are recommended. It should be noted that exercise or carrying heavy objects can induce and aggravate the condition. In addition, it is necessary to sleep on a hard bed. In addition, attention should be paid to lumbar sprains, excessive fatigue, cold, dampness, etc.
