How to deal with a cut finger

How to deal with a cut finger

In our lives, many people always get their fingers cut while working, especially when cutting vegetables. This is the most likely cause of finger cuts. Because there are certain bacteria on the things that cut the fingers, it is particularly easy to cause wound infection. At this time, it is necessary to clean the wound regularly to avoid tetanus. So how should you deal with a cut finger?

Treatment of general knife wounds:

1. Wash your hands and clean the wound with boiling water;

2. Apply disinfectant, such as hydrogen peroxide. Disinfectants or anti-inflammatory drugs that are too harsh can damage wound tissue, so use them with caution;

3. Cover with sterile gauze and bandage to fix

Emergency treatment for severe stab wounds:

1. Compression hemostasis method: Press the wound directly with gauze, handkerchief or towel, and then bandage the wound tightly. This may temporarily slow the bleeding.

2. Hemostasis point acupressure method The so-called hemostasis point is the artery point close to the heart near the bleeding wound. Find the hemostasis point and press it hard to prevent the blood flowing from the heart from flowing smoothly to the wound, thereby reducing the amount of bleeding.

When the bleeding is severe and does not stop, tie a cloth strip, triangular bandage or rope on the bleeding point and tie it tightly; loosen it slightly every fifteen minutes to avoid tissue necrosis. It is best to seek medical attention within forty minutes.

If it is a small wound, you can rinse it lightly with clean water or saline (rinse around the wound in a circular shape), and then disinfect it. Do not use cotton for bandaging, please use clean gauze. When the wound is shackled, you don't need to bandage it! If it is a very large one, do not rinse it. Stop the bleeding first and then cover it with clean gauze. Do not forcefully remove the blood clot, as this will cause secondary injury!
