So, what should you do if you feel sad after a breakup?

1. Do some exercise

Go for a walk, or do some physical exercise. Write down 10 things you can do and start working through the list to overcome your body's inertia.

2. Find something happy to do

Read a book, listen to music, or go out and experience something new. Watch a movie or play with your new iPod. Make a list of things you want to do, and when you are bored, take it out and see which things are suitable for you to do.

3. Express your emotions appropriately

When you are filled with resentment and want to vent it on others, you can find some substitutes to vent it, such as throwing a doll that cannot be broken, hitting a thick tree, etc. We must learn to vent our emotions, that is, the object, place, occasion and method of venting should be appropriate to avoid hurting others.

4. Distract Your Attention

When emotions react, there is a strong excitement point in the mind. At this time, if one or several new excitement points are established, the original dominant center can be offset or diluted. Middle school students are in a period of intense emotional changes and can easily become angry over trivial matters. Suppressing anger is harmful to your body, and allowing it to be vented will harm others and yourself. It is better to avoid it temporarily, analyze it calmly, and find a more appropriate solution. For example, when you do not perform well in an exam, you do not have to sigh and blame yourself all day long. You can go play ball, take a walk, or do other relaxing activities, such as listening to your favorite music, etc., to relax yourself. Then, objectively analyze the reasons for the failure and strive to get better results next time.
