What causes melanin deposition

What causes melanin deposition

Nowadays, many people pay special attention to whitening, and as the saying goes, "a white complexion can hide a hundred uglinesses", and they pay great attention to whitening. In fact, it is melanin that is causing trouble. So if you want to whiten your skin, you must first get rid of melanin, the culprit. Melanin deposition can cause our skin to darken and also produce some spots and other lumps. So if you want to eliminate melanin, you must first understand the causes of black deposition.

The treatment of skin pigmentation should naturally start from two aspects: one is the treatment of the cause, and the other is local symptomatic treatment. The latter uses physical or chemical methods to remove local pigments. The pathogenesis of this group of diseases is nothing more than an increase in the number of melanocytes or an increase in their activity. Based on the cause, it can be divided into hereditary (freckles), endocrine (chloasma), metabolic (Reil's melanosis), drug (fixed drug eruption), inflammatory (sun spots), tumor (moles), physical (frictional melanosis) and artificial (tattoos), etc. Except for tumor diseases which are caused by an absolute increase in the number of melanocytes, the others are mostly caused by abnormal melanocyte metabolism.

The treatment of skin pigmentation should naturally start from two aspects: one is the treatment of the cause, and the other is local symptomatic treatment. The latter uses physical or chemical methods to remove local pigments. From the above analysis of the causes of pigmentation, it is not difficult to see that hereditary and tumor diseases have clear causes, are less affected by internal factors, and local treatment can often achieve satisfactory results. Common types of diseases include various types of pigmented nevi, moles, blue nevi, nevus of Ota, nevus of Iten, pigmented hairy epidermal nevus, coffee spots, freckles, age spots, etc.

The medical community has been exploring health issues for a long time and has found a variety of treatment methods. There are records of ancient my country using special Chinese medicines for internal or external application to treat pigmented diseases, which modern medicine calls Ota nevus. Surgical excision or chemical peeling therapy has long been used at home and abroad. With the continuous development of physical therapy, liquid nitrogen cryotherapy, superficial radiation or isotope therapy and traditional laser therapy have been successively applied to the treatment of such diseases and have been used to this day. Although doctors have continued to try to improve it over the years. Unfortunately, however, the above-mentioned treatments are rarely used in the treatment of skin pigment diseases due to their low efficacy or their own inevitable adverse reactions, such as scar formation, pigment changes, and even local atrophy and deformation. In 1983, the theory of selective photothermal effect was first proposed abroad, that is, lasers of different wavelengths can selectively act on skin lesions of different colors. In particular, the application of Q-switching technology can shorten the duration of the output pulse to nanoseconds. This ushered in a new era of laser medicine. Based on this principle, the United States, Britain and other countries successively developed new short-pulse lasers in the 1990s, which made new breakthroughs in the treatment of skin pigmentation diseases. This type of laser therapy device, with its powerful instantaneous power, highly concentrated radiation energy, pigment selectivity, and extremely short pulse width, concentrates the laser energy on the pigment particles, directly vaporizing or breaking them up, and excreting them from the body through the lymphatic tissue without affecting the surrounding normal tissues, thereby achieving the good results of precise efficacy, no damage, no scars, little pain, and safe and simple treatment.
