What is the difference between okra and yellow okra

Okra is a variety of okra. In Korea, okra is considered to have nutritional value comparable to that of ginseng. Okra is native to Africa and is currently grown in my country and North America. Okra was introduced to my country in the 20th century and has now become a very common vegetable. Americans believe that okra can improve male sexual ability, so they consider okra to be plant Viagra.

The young fruit (pod) of okra is tender and smooth, with a unique flavor and high nutritional value. It is comparable to ginseng, but more suitable for daily food supplement than ginseng. It can be stir-fried, boiled, served cold, canned, made into soup, and quick-frozen, etc. The young fruit also contains a sticky substance that can aid digestion, treat gastritis and gastric ulcers, protect the liver and enhance human endurance.

The young leaves of okra are also edible. The flowers, seeds and roots are effective in treating ulcers, carbuncles and boils, and have certain anti-cancer effects. The seeds contain more minerals such as potassium, calcium, iron, zinc, manganese, etc., and can be used to extract oil, protein or as a substitute for coffee.

Okra has the same effect as the same amount of ginseng. In a few projects (hypoxia tolerance), when the amount of okra is twice that of ginseng, the effect is equivalent. Only the effect of cold resistance is lower than that of ginseng. This shows that okra does have effects similar to ginseng and is well-deserved to be called “green ginseng”.

The United States calls okra "plant Viagra." It is believed that its aphrodisiac effect is comparable to that of Viagra. Studies have found that okra flowers are rich in flavonoids (about 300 times higher than the flavonoids contained in soybean cotyledons), which have the effects of regulating endocrine and anti-aging. However, its aphrodisiac effect is different from that of the chemical drug Viagra (Viagra mainly acts locally). It works gradually through the regulation of the whole body, so its effect is milder and more lasting, with no side effects.

Eating okra can enhance people's endurance and anti-fatigue ability, so okra is most suitable for athletes. Okra can improve people's resistance to cold, hypoxia and heat. Okra can increase serum urea nitrogen and improve people's resistance to stress. Eating okra regularly can promote gastrointestinal motility and protect the stomach and intestines. Okra also has the effect of preventing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
