If the patient has facial paralysis, facial numbness, staring eyes, diplopia, and tongue slippage, Qianzheng San can be added based on syndrome differentiation; if swallowing is difficult or food choking occurs, Inula japonica, magnetite, clove, persimmon calyx, and Amomum villosum can be added; if long-term illness causes damage to the yin and yang or both yin and yang deficiency, then Bazhen Decoction, Shiquan Dabu Decoction, Zuogui Yin, Yougui Yin, etc. should be added or subtracted according to the degree of deficiency.
