2. Cavernous hemangioma

It is more common in infants and young children. The tumor is small and mostly asymptomatic. Extensive cases can extend to the subcutaneous part of the neck and appear bluish purple. In severe cases, it can cause coughing up blood, throat obstruction, and even suffocation. Laryngoscopy showed that the tumor was as soft as a sponge, diffusely growing under the mucosa of the ventricular zone, laryngeal ventricle, and aryepiglottic folds, and was dark red with an uneven surface.

3. Biopsy should not be performed to prevent bleeding.

4. It should be differentiated from laryngeal varicose veins, vocal cord nodules, hemorrhagic polyps and non-specific granulomas.
