In recent years, the prevalence of hypertension has been getting higher and higher, showing an upward trend, and it is getting younger and younger. Suffering from hypertension requires timely conditioning and treatment, otherwise it will cause serious complications. Once hypertension occurs, timely care and medication are necessary to lower blood pressure quickly to avoid great harm. Will high blood pressure cause tinnitus? High blood pressure can cause tinnitus. Can high blood pressure cause tinnitus? High blood pressure can cause tinnitus. Tinnitus caused by hypertension is due to increased brain pressure, which is fundamentally different from tinnitus caused by ear-related reasons (such as Meniere's disease). The symptoms are also different. Tinnitus caused by poisoning by drugs such as streptomycin is a high-pitched sound like a cicada or a flute, while tinnitus caused by hypertension is a low-pitched sound like a waterwheel turning back and forth. Most cases of hypertension have no conscious symptoms, so we must not be complacent. Regardless of whether there are conscious symptoms or not, if hypertension persists for a long time, it is likely to cause damage to the heart, brain, and kidneys. Therefore, you should get checked as soon as possible. What tests should be done for high blood pressure 1. Physical examination (1) Measure blood pressure correctly. Because blood pressure fluctuates and emotional excitement and physical activity can cause temporary increases in blood pressure, hypertension can only be diagnosed when elevated blood pressure is measured at rest at least twice on different days, and the blood pressure value should be calculated as the average of three consecutive measurements. A careful physical examination can help detect clues to secondary hypertension and target organ damage. (2) Measure body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, and hip circumference. (3) Check the arterial pulses and neurological signs of the limbs, and auscultate the carotid arteries, thoracic aorta, abdominal arteries, and femoral arteries for bruits. (4) Observe for the presence of Cushing's facies, neurofibromatous skin macules, hyperthyroidism exophthalmos, or lower limb edema. (5) Comprehensive cardiopulmonary examination. (6) Comprehensive and detailed understanding of the patient’s medical history. 2. Laboratory examination It can help determine the cause of hypertension and the functional status of target organs. Routine examination items include blood routine, urine routine, renal function, blood sugar, blood lipids, blood potassium, echocardiogram, electrocardiogram, chest X-ray, fundus, dynamic blood pressure monitoring, etc. What to do if pregnant women have high blood pressure Generally speaking, there are two situations that cause hypertension in pregnant women, one is physiological factors; the other is pathological factors. But no matter what factor it is, it increases the risk during childbirth. Therefore, once pregnant women find that their blood pressure is high, they must do the following three things. 1. Strengthen prenatal examinations: According to the rules, prenatal examinations usually start 3 months after pregnancy, once a month before 7 months of pregnancy, once every two weeks during 8-9 months of pregnancy, and once a week in the last month of pregnancy. Pregnant women with high blood pressure should increase the frequency of prenatal examinations. It is best to have a check-up at least once a month before the seventh month of pregnancy, and once a week after the seventh month of pregnancy. When the due date is close, hospitalization should be carried out early. 2. Active antihypertensive treatment: Pregnant women cannot rely solely on antihypertensive drugs to treat hypertension, because excessive use of strong antihypertensive drugs is not good for the health of pregnant women or fetuses. Excessive use of sedatives is also not advisable. Generally, safer drugs include reserpine, antihypertensive spirit or compound antihypertensive tablets, etc. Traditional Chinese medicines such as wild chrysanthemum and rhubarb can also be used. At the same time, pregnant women should keep a happy mood, avoid mental stimulation and emotional excitement; ensure adequate sleep and pay attention to rest; the diet should not be too salty, and the daily salt intake should not exceed half a teaspoon to prevent edema. Once edema occurs, diuretics such as hydrochlorothiazide should be used. 3. Actively treat various diseases that cause hypertension in pregnant women, such as pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome. Modern medicine believes that if a pregnant woman develops severe and persistent hypertension shortly after the start of pregnancy and the problem cannot be solved through treatment, then the pregnancy should be terminated through methods such as artificial abortion. By the same token, women with high blood pressure are not suitable for pregnancy until their blood pressure is under control. If a pregnant woman develops severe hypertension due to pregnancy-induced hypertension in the middle or late stages of pregnancy, it is sometimes necessary to terminate the pregnancy or undergo surgery to give birth early to avoid danger. |
