AIDS is a very common disease. The incidence of AIDS has been increasing in recent years, and there are many ways of infection. In fact, kissing has the risk of AIDS infection. In fact, the chance of infection is very small. If you have sexual intercourse without a condom, the risk of infection is very high. If you are really worried, you can get tested 3 months after the high-risk behavior. Can kissing spread AIDS? Generally speaking, kissing does not transmit AIDS. HIV exists in the blood, semen, vaginal secretions, tears, urine, milk, and cerebrospinal fluid of infected people. The content in saliva is very small, which will not cause viral infection in the human body. Someone has calculated that under normal circumstances (without heavy bleeding in the mouth), if the HIV virus contained in saliva is to infect someone with AIDS, two gallons (7.5 liters) of saliva would need to enter the other person's body. Moreover, to date, the scientific community has not found any case of infection through kissing alone. However, it should be noted that the HIV virus content in saliva refers to people who do not have oral health problems. If you have gum disease that causes bleeding gums or oral ulcers, the risk of transmitting AIDS through kissing will increase to varying degrees. The following symptoms may occur during the latent stage of AIDS: 1. Systemic symptoms The most common clinical symptom of AIDS patients is recurrent low-grade fever (accounting for about 72%), accompanied by chills, weight loss, fatigue, and weight loss (up to 5 to 22 kg), followed by extreme drowsiness and weakness, and inability to support normal physical activities. Chronic diarrhea is also a very obvious early clinical manifestation in some AIDS patients. Often, no cause for fever, diarrhea, and weight loss can be found. According to the analysis of clinical manifestations of 38 cases of AIDS, the above symptoms and signs accounted for more than 80% of the total number of cases. 2. Swollen lymph nodes The incidence rate is 55% to 100%. When patients in high-risk groups have systemic lymph node enlargement and cannot be explained by other reasons, it is likely related to HIV infection. Although enlarged lymph nodes are systemic, they are most common in the lymph nodes behind the neck, under the jaw, or under the armpits. The enlarged lymph nodes are not fused, are hard, and occasionally tender, with no changes in the surface skin. The degree of lymph node enlargement is related to the titer of AIDS antibodies in the serum. In addition, AIDS is associated with lymphoma, including Burkitts lymphoma, immunoblastic lymphoma and Hodgkin's disease, which can also cause lymphadenopathy. 3. Skin damage The skin and mucous membranes are one of the main sites attacked by AIDS. Many AIDS patients present with skin lesions as the first symptom. There are many clinical manifestations, such as rash, general itching, genital warts, contact warts, urticaria, etc. However, the most characteristic skin damage is the skin changes of Kaposi's sarcoma. The manifestations of such damage will be specifically introduced in the following chapters and will not be discussed here. How long is the incubation period of AIDS? The AIDS incubation period refers to the time from infection with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) to the onset of AIDS symptoms and signs. It takes 0.5 to 20 years, an average of 7 to 10 years, for a human body to develop into the AIDS stage after being infected with HIV. The length of the incubation period is related to factors such as the number and type of infected viruses, the route of infection, the body's immune status, nutritional conditions and living habits. Some people who have not developed the disease may remain in the dark for a long time or even for life and become AIDS carriers. The blood, semen, vaginal secretions, breast milk and internal organs of people infected with HIV in the latent period contain the HIV virus, which is contagious. |
