When tropical fish get this disease, tiny black spots first grow on the gill covers and fins, and then cover the entire body. In the later stage, the mucus on the body surface increases, and the black spots become black cysts and bubbles, as if covered with a layer of black film. Sick fish often have significantly reduced activities, floating on the water surface or gathering in one corner. If not treated in time, they will become increasingly emaciated until death.

It is actually very simple to deal with black spot disease. In addition to using the black spot disease treatment medicines sold in aquarium stores, you can also use economical, simple and effective methods. You can use malachite green to make the water in the fish tank slightly blue for 2 consecutive days. After 1-2 days, the slight blue color in the water will disappear on its own. You can also soak the fish in 1-2% salt water for 10-20 minutes. It will be fine after a few days. You can also use fish medicine specially for black spot disease.

1. Water quality problems. If the infection is caused by bacteria, disinfection should be considered first. First isolate the sick fish in a basin, add a little bleach to the basin, and soak and disinfect for two hours. Replace the water in the fish tank, leaving a small amount of water, pour in more bleach, stir the mud and sand, soak for 12 hours, then replace with new water, soak for another 12 hours, then add clean water until it is 80% full and put the fish in.
