What causes motion sickness and insufficient blood supply to the brain?

Many people often feel that they are not getting enough blood when riding in a car, especially when taking a long-distance bus. They feel dizzy, nauseous and want to vomit, and have a rolling feeling in their stomach. Even if this is motion sickness, what should we do if we have motion sickness? Is motion sickness a very serious disease? In fact, motion sickness is very common. How can we relieve it? Let's take a look!

All types of motion sickness have the same cause: conflicting signals from the eyes and other sensory organs to the brain. For example, in the case of motion sickness, you are sitting in a car and your eyes tell your brain that your "body is not moving", but the vestibular system in your inner ear, which is responsible for sensing balance, tells your brain that you "are moving". The conflict between what you see and what you perceive triggers your brain to produce a neurotransmitter that your body mistakes as a sign of hallucinogenic poisoning, and it tries to escape from the disorder that causes your brain to mess with it.

Looking out the front window. Looking out the window allows the brain to confirm that the body is actually moving by signaling the balance system, helping to resolve the disharmony that causes motion sickness. Stare at a distant, stationary object, such as the horizon. Avoid activities that require your eyes to remain fixed in one place, such as reading or playing cards. Don't keep turning around or looking left and right.

Sit in the front row. Consider driving yourself (if you can). Drivers rarely get carsick because they always keep their eyes on the road. Sitting in the passenger seat is the next best option. You have a better view, and the front seats in some cars are less bumpy. If you can't or don't want to drive, imagine or pretend you are driving in your mind. This can often prevent or reduce nausea.

Patients are advised to relax when they feel motion sickness. They can try to choose a window seat and open the window to get some fresh air. They will feel that the motion sickness is relieved when there is ventilation. They can also take some motion sickness medicine before feeling motion sickness. Smelling orange peels can also help to relieve the symptoms. Never stare at one thing.
