But sometimes, when the disease comes irresistibly, we can only carry out active treatment, and during the treatment, we often need to pay special attention to diet, and the same is true for chemotherapy. During chemotherapy, while chemical drugs kill tumor cells, normal cells will inevitably be damaged, resulting in side effects. First of all, drink plenty of water during chemotherapy. A normal person needs to consume about 2000 ml of water every day, not to mention patients after chemotherapy, who should drink more water to excrete toxins from the body through urine. This substance, which seems very ordinary in normal times, actually plays a role in digesting food, absorbing nutrients, eliminating waste, regulating body temperature, moisturizing the skin, and accelerating metabolism in the body. This shows the importance of drinking water. Second, light food should be the main food. During chemotherapy, while ensuring nutrition, you should eat light foods such as fruits and vegetables. These two foods contain a lot of vitamin C, which can prevent constipation, improve immunity, prevent cancer, etc., and is beneficial for recovery after chemotherapy. Third, you should supplement more protein during chemotherapy. During chemotherapy, if conditions permit, you should also eat more high-protein foods, such as fish, lean meat, milk, chicken, red dates, etc. Eating more of these foods can effectively prevent the decrease in white blood cells, platelets and immunity caused by chemotherapy.
