What to do if the bathroom smells_What to do if the sink smells

The bathroom is very important to each of us. In many homes, the bathroom has a fresh fragrance emanating from the door. But there are also some families whose toilets always smell bad, especially in the summer. If the bathroom smells too bad, it will also affect the family environment. So what should you do if the bathroom smells bad? Let’s take a look below.

Reasons for toilet odor:

1. Check whether the water seal in the toilet is sufficient. Generally, a good toilet will have a certain water seal after flushing to ensure the isolation of the pipes;

2. If the water seal is normal but there is still an odor, it is an installation problem. If the sewage pipe and the toilet outlet are not well connected and sealed during installation, it is easy for the odor to escape;

3. In addition, current buildings have exhaust vents for sewage pipes on the top floors. If the drain vents are blocked, it is easy for unpleasant odors to enter the house.

Solution to toilet odor:

For non-anti-odor floor drains or drainage, installing anti-odor type can repair, replace and reinstall cracked or damaged toilet flanges and sewer pipes.

1. Use toilet cleaner as a drain cleaner: Pour an appropriate amount of toilet cleaner into the toilet every now and then, cover the toilet lid for a while, then flush with water to keep the toilet unobstructed.

2. Method to block the smell from floor drain: find a watertight plastic bag, preferably with a handle, with a mouth slightly larger than the floor drain, fill it with an appropriate amount of clean water, remove the grate on the floor drain, and place the plastic bag filled with water on the floor drain. Due to the effect of water pressure, the plastic bag can be brought into close contact with the leaking pipe, thus achieving the purpose of isolating the odor.

3. Even if the indoor toilet is flushed clean, there will often be a bad smell left. Just place a small cup of vinegar in the toilet and the smell will disappear. It is valid for six or seven days and can be replaced once a week.

4. Dry the leftover tea leaves and burn them in the toilet or ditch to eliminate bad smells.
