How to deal with mold on leather shoes

The situation of leather shoes growing mold should be taken seriously, and there are many reasons for the growth of mold on leather shoes, but it is difficult to take care of leather shoes that have grown mold. Leather shoes are more expensive than ordinary shoes, so it would be a pity to throw them away. However, there are many ways to deal with leather shoes that have grown mold. How do you deal with leather shoes that have grown mold?

Deal with it according to the cause. The reasons why leather shoes become moldy are different for different people. It is recommended to find out the cause first and then deal with it in a targeted manner. For example, if the shoes are not blown dry after washing, the leather contains protein that attracts mold. You can blow the shoes dry and then wipe the surface of the leather shoes with a disinfectant. For example, if leather shoes are not stored properly and there is mold in the cabinet, causing the shoes to become moldy, the cabinet should be cleaned and the mold on the shoes should be removed at the same time.

According to mold treatment. If the surface of leather shoes is moldy, the treatment methods for different substances are different. For example, if it is white powdery mold, just iron it with an iron and the object will disappear quickly. If it is grayish white mold, do not use an iron, but wipe it with a damp cloth, because this kind of mold is relatively strong and heating will not work. If it is grayish green mold, use a special cleaning solution to clean it, or you can try to wipe it with a soft cloth, and then put it in a ventilated and dry place to dry.

Deal with the weather. If your leather shoes are moldy, you should adopt different coping methods in different weather conditions. For example, if it rains, don't wear your leather shoes for the time being. Wait until the weather is clear before wearing them. If you encounter this situation on a sunny day, it is recommended to put it in the sun for a while after cleaning to allow ventilation and drying, sterilization and removal of spots.

Some white shoes are moldy and easily leave yellow spots after brushing. When rinsing the leather shoes for the last time, you can add a small amount of white vinegar, but do not add aged vinegar to avoid staining the white shoes. Soak the shoes in water for half an hour, stick white paper towels on the surface when drying, and they will be bright and white as new after drying.

Water wax can form a hard protective film on the surface of the car body, which has super strong functions of waterproofing, acid rain prevention, pollution prevention, and UV erosion resistance. After shaking the water wax evenly, pour some on a cloth or toilet paper (not too much) and wipe it directly on the mildew spots on the shoes.
