There is a small bubble on the eyeball

Eyes are an important part of our facial features. As people nowadays are under great work pressure and use electronic products more widely, many people have certain problems with their eyes, such as myopia and visual fatigue. Among them, the growth of small bubbles on the eyeball is a relatively common eye disease at present, which often causes discomfort to people. So what is the matter with the growth of small bubbles on the eyeball? How should it be treated? Let’s take a look together below.

Small bubbles on the eyeball may be conjunctivitis.

Conjunctivitis is a transparent film covering the inner surface of the eyelid and the surface of the white of the eye in front of the eyeball. Conjunctivitis is an inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva. When the conjunctiva is exposed to various stimuli, edema and redness will appear. Therefore, conjunctivitis is also called "pink eye" and can affect one or both eyes.

For the treatment of conjunctivitis, if it is acute viral conjunctivitis, steroid (cortisone) eye drops can be used to alleviate the condition. Bacterial conjunctivitis requires antibiotic lotions, ointments, or even oral or injected antibiotics.

To treat chronic conjunctivitis, you must first find out the cause. If it is caused by environmental irritants, try to reduce contact with the irritants, such as reducing visits to public places (especially closed rooms) and reducing contact with ashes from smoking and burning waste. If it is caused by allergens, avoid contact with pollen, paint, and dust.

If the condition is caused by long-term use of eye drops or eye ointments, you can stop using eye drops for a period of time and use eye drops that do not contain drugs or preservatives (such as normal saline or artificial tears). Applying a hot towel to the eyes (with eyes closed) three to four times a day for five to ten minutes each time is also a simple, easy and effective method.

If it is caused by chronic blepharitis, treatment will take some time. Clean the secretions from the eyelid margin; squeeze the meibomian glands; wash the roots of the eyelashes with baby shampoo (three or four times a day); apply hot compresses and anti-inflammatory ointments, etc. are all helpful.

In addition, it should be noted that although conjunctivitis is not a serious problem, it is not the only cause of "eye congestion". In addition to conjunctivitis, eye congestion should also be considered as a warning sign of other eye diseases, such as corneal skin breakage, iritis, glaucoma, corneal ulcers, or inflammation inside the eye, so it should not be taken lightly.
