Contact lenses only have one grinding eye

Contact lenses only have one grinding eye

Nowadays, glasses are very common due to myopia, but some people choose contact lenses because of aesthetic reasons. It is true that contact lenses can serve the purpose of glasses and have little effect on appearance, but there are also many problems in wearing contact lenses. The most common problem is eye wear. Sometimes it’s because the lens is reversed, and sometimes it’s because the glasses are not clean. So what’s the reason why only one eye of the contact lens is worn?

The first glasses didn't fit.

Normal symptoms when first wearing contact lenses. Wearing contact lenses also requires a certain period of adjustment, and it is very normal to experience symptoms of eye wear. The running-in period generally lasts about 1-7 days. Contact lenses are not for you. The contact lenses you choose are not suitable for you, which leads to eye grinding symptoms, such as too large diameter or too large base curve. Such situations may cause eye wear from wearing contact lenses. This can be solved by changing the brand.

The second pair of glasses was not worn properly.

The contact lenses were not worn properly and the front and back were not distinguished. Many people find it difficult to distinguish the front and back of contact lenses when wearing them, so the chance of eye friction after wearing them is very high. (1) If the lens is worn upside down, try putting it on the other way round to see if it still causes eye abrasion. (2) Switch the left and right lenses. However, cosmetic contact lenses are not differentiated between left and right eyes. Switch the lenses according to your own conditions to see if they cause eye abrasion.

The third lens was not cleaned properly.

Caring for and cleaning contact lenses is absolutely a crucial part of wearing contact lenses. If there are foreign objects on the lenses and they are not cleaned thoroughly, the problem of eye grinding will be very serious. This not only rubs your eyes, but also harms your eye health to a certain extent. The care solution should be changed every 3 days and you should gently massage the lenses with your fingers when cleaning.

The fourth eye developed inflammation.

If you do not experience any of the above conditions, but your eye grinding symptoms are still very serious when wearing contact lenses, then you should pay great attention to it. There is a high possibility that you have conjunctivitis or other diseases, so it is recommended that you stop wearing contact lenses and go to the hospital for a check-up.
