Moxibustion for Gallstones

Moxibustion for Gallstones

Moxibustion is a very special way of treating diseases in traditional Chinese medicine. Moreover, its treatment method is very simple, easy to operate, and has no side effects, and is very popular in clinical work. Moxibustion also has special effects in treating gallstones. Friends who suffer from gallstones can all understand the pain, which makes people grit their teeth, but they can do nothing about it. Ordinary treatments are also accompanied by pain. However, using moxibustion to treat gallstones is a good choice. This treatment method uses the heat generated by moxibustion technology to stimulate acupuncture points and specific parts, and regulates the disorder of human body functions through this energy transfer. To achieve the purpose of relieving pain symptoms and treating gallstones.

Treatment principle

Moxibustion is a treatment method that allows the drug to directly reach the lesion through local administration, effectively relieving the abdominal pain, bloating, vomiting, nausea and other symptoms of gallstones, gradually dissolving and expelling the stones, comprehensively regulating the balance of qi and blood, treating both the symptoms and the root cause, and effectively curing gallstones and preventing them from recurring.

Precautions

At the same time, you should also pay attention to your diet: avoid spicy food, try to eat less greasy meat, high-sugar, high-cholesterol, high-fat and other foods, and eat more high-protein foods, vegetables and fresh fruits.

Exercise more, drink more water, have a good life routine, and stay up late less. Maintaining a good attitude will help recover from the illness.

If it is a simple gallstone, it is advisable to use the acupoints on the right side for conditioning. If it is accompanied by cholecystitis, it is advisable to use the acupoints on both sides for conditioning (that is, the acupoints for cholecystitis are the same as those for gallstones). Among them, the acupoints of Riyue, Qimen and diseases near the gallbladder are the acupoints that must be moxibustioned every day, and the remaining acupoints can be selectively moxibustioned every other day, 3-5 each time, in a cycle. For the gallbladder area, moxibustion is performed for 40-1 hours a day. For the other acupoints, moxibustion is performed for 30-40 minutes a day. For the limb acupoints, moxibustion is performed for 20-30 minutes a day. At the same time, the time should be increased or decreased according to the actual situation. Moxibustion is performed for 10 days in a row and rest for 2-3 days.

Taboo

1. Snacks as staple food

Irregular diet not only disrupts the digestion and absorption function of the gastrointestinal tract, but also affects the contraction of the gallbladder and the excretion of bile, increasing the viscosity of bile and easily causing cholelithiasis.

2. Love sweets

Excessive sugar intake will accelerate the accumulation of cholesterol, causing an imbalance in the ratio of cholesterol, bile acid and lecithin in bile, and excessive cholesterol will form cholesterol stones. Don't eat too much sweets, just eat enough to satisfy your craving.

3. Skipping breakfast

This is the "most famous" cause of gallstones. When a person is fasting in the morning, bile has been stored overnight and has a higher cholesterol saturation. If you eat breakfast normally, your gallbladder will contract and cholesterol will be excreted along with bile. If you skip breakfast, the cholesterol in the bile cannot be excreted, which causes cholesterol deposition and gradually forms stones.

4. Eating too much oil

A long-term high-fat, high-cholesterol diet can easily lead to high blood lipids. As a part of blood lipids, cholesterol also increases. When the cholesterol concentration in bile is too saturated, cholesterol crystals will easily precipitate and form stones.

5. Eating too much vegetarian food

A long-term low-fat diet is actually an unfavorable factor for gallstones. Low fat will affect the body's absorption of nutrients, resulting in bile deficiency and malnutrition, and causing gallstones.

6. Don’t like to drink water

If you don’t like to drink water on a regular basis, or if you drink hard water that contains a lot of calcium and magnesium ions, the bile will be concentrated and you will be prone to developing stones.

7. Sulking

If you keep holding grudges and suppress your emotions for a long time and cannot find an outlet to vent them, your liver qi will become stagnant and your qi will stagnate, causing bile to stagnate and stones to form easily.

8. Overweight

Obesity can easily lead to metabolic syndrome, affecting the metabolism of bilirubin and thus forming stones.
