What should I use to treat itchy red pimples on the soles of my feet

We all know that we can get acne on our face, back, and chest, but we didn’t know that we can also get acne on the soles of our feet. It not only hurts but also itches when touched. The raised pimples make us feel uncomfortable when walking, and they don’t get better over time. This type of acne is largely related to athlete’s foot. Long-term exposure to stuffiness and high humidity can easily breed acne. So how can we avoid and treat it?

I have several methods below, please take a look.

Athlete's foot is a common disease in people's lives. Once the disease occurs, patients often feel unbearable itching, and red spots and scaling appear between the toes. In patients with severe symptoms, the entire soles of the feet will become red and peel off. Athlete's foot not only seriously affects the patient's daily work and life, but is also easily contagious to others. However, not many patients seek medical treatment for athlete's foot. Zhao Junying, director of the dermatology department at Beijing Friendship Hospital, said that most patients with athlete's foot only come to the hospital when the symptoms are more serious. In the early stages of the disease, when the symptoms are mild, they usually use some folk remedies for self-treatment.

Treatment methods:

1. If you have athlete's foot or tinea pedis on your feet, you can cure it by rubbing them with raw garlic continuously.

2. Use vinegar to mix the vanishing cream into a paste and apply it to the affected area. Use it as soon as it is prepared. For mild cases, one application is enough, while for severe cases, 2 to 3 applications are enough to heal.

3. Washing your feet with water boiled with eggplant roots and salt can cure athlete's foot.

4. If you get tinea pedis in the summer, wash the affected feet first, dry them, and then apply essential oil to the affected area 1 to 2 times a day. Generally, you will see results after applying it for a few times.

5. Get some cigarette ash and sprinkle it on the wet and itchy areas of your toes to cure the itching of blisters between the toes.

6. If you have suffered from athlete's foot for many years, you can apply toothpaste on it, which is very effective.

7. Green tea contains tannic acid, which has antibacterial effects, and is especially effective in treating filamentous fungi that cause athlete's foot.

8. Take 1000 grams of medical stone, add 2000 grams of boiling water and soak it. Use this water to scrub athlete's foot, acne, eczema, prickly heat and other affected areas every day. It has a significant therapeutic effect.

9. Use 3 tubes of Bingpeng Powder and 1 packet of Liuyi Powder, mix well, wash and dry your feet at night, and apply the medicine to the affected area. Generally, it takes about 3 minutes to see results.

Although using folk remedies to treat athlete's foot can sometimes relieve the itching, it will definitely not get rid of the root cause. Moreover, some folk remedies are very irritating and may cause allergic reactions. If you apply garlic to the affected area, it will cause redness, swelling and even discharge, making the condition worse.

Experts remind patients with athlete's foot: once symptoms of athlete's foot appear, they should receive treatment as soon as possible. Early treatment not only requires less medication but is also conducive to recovery. Once the condition worsens, treatment becomes more difficult.

Three methods of self-treatment of athlete's foot

1. Apply iodine to the affected area. Apply to the affected area after washing your feet, 2-3 times a day. Long-term persistence will produce good results.

2. Apply toothpaste to the affected area. Apply 2-3 times a day, the effect is quite obvious for stubborn athlete's foot that has persisted for many years.

3. Apply essential oil to the affected area. This method is simple and easy, and can be done once a day. The specific method of use is to wash your feet with warm water before going to bed every day, then use a cotton swab to dip an appropriate amount of wind oil and apply it to the affected area. Generally, continuous use for 5 days can basically achieve the effect of relieving pain and itching. If accompanied by blisters, you should first prick the blisters with a needle and then apply Fengyoujing. This method is not suitable for pregnant women, infants and young children.

The key to preventing athlete's foot is to do "four taboos"

1. Avoid alkaline substances

Keeping your feet clean and dry is the prerequisite for preventing athlete's foot. To this end, you should develop the habit of washing your feet regularly, but avoid using irritating chemicals such as alkaline soaps when washing your feet. People with tight spaces between toes can use toilet paper to absorb moisture, allow ventilation, and keep their toes clean.

2. Avoid spicy food

Avoid eating foods that can easily induce sweating, such as hot peppers, raw onions, and raw garlic.

3. Avoid sharing cleaning supplies

Avoid frequent contact or sharing towels, shoes, socks, face and foot basins, etc. with people suffering from fungal infections to avoid infection with tinea pedis.

4. Avoid using traditional methods for treatment

Some people often use folk remedies they heard from others to treat athlete's foot. Although this sometimes works to relieve the itching, it definitely cannot eliminate the root cause. Moreover, some traditional remedies are very irritating and may cause allergic reactions. Therefore, if symptoms of athlete's foot appear, treatment should be sought as soon as possible.
