What's wrong with people with high body temperature?

Body temperature refers to the normal internal temperature of the human body. Generally, the internal temperature of the body is around 36-37 degrees Celsius. The high body temperature is caused by diseases in body tissues and organs or problems in the blood, which can easily lead to high body temperature. The high body temperature will affect the body's normal metabolism and easily lead to some physical diseases.

What causes high body temperature?

Human body temperature comes from the energy released during the metabolism of substances in the body. The relative constancy of body temperature is the result of maintaining a dynamic balance between the body's heat production and heat dissipation, and this dynamic balance is achieved by perfect body temperature regulation structure and function.

When a person is in a cold environment, the cold stimulates the cold receptors in the skin. The cold receptors become excited and transmit the excitement to the temperature regulation center in the hypothalamus. Through the analysis and synthesis of the center, the relevant nerves are excited, which causes the skin blood vessels to contract, reducing the blood flow to the skin, thereby reducing the heat dissipation of the skin. (The opposite is true for people in hot weather)

However, the human body's ability to regulate body temperature is limited. If a person stays in a cold environment for too long, the heat generated by the body will not be enough to compensate for the heat lost, which will cause the body temperature to drop and hinder the body's vital activities. If a person stays in a high temperature environment for too long, the heat generated in the body will not be able to dissipate, causing the body temperature to rise. No matter which of the above situations occurs, sufficient attention should be paid and appropriate measures should be taken to maintain a constant body temperature.

We know that all life activities of the human body are based on metabolism, and constant body temperature is necessary for the normal metabolism. Too high or too low body temperature will affect the activity of enzymes, thereby affecting the normal operation of metabolism, causing dysfunction of various cells, tissues and organs, and in severe cases even leading to death. It can be seen that the relative stability of body temperature is a necessary condition for maintaining the stability of the body's internal environment and ensuring the normal functioning of life activities such as metabolism.

Under normal circumstances, body temperature varies within a narrow range depending on age, gender, etc. The body temperature of newborns and children is slightly higher than that of adults; the body temperature of adults is slightly higher than that of the elderly; the body temperature of women is 0.3℃ higher than that of men on average. The body temperature of the same person is generally lowest between 2 and 4 in the morning and highest between 14 and 20, but the difference between day and night does not exceed 1℃

Human body temperature refers to the temperature inside the human body. Since the temperature inside the body is not easy to measure, the temperature of the mouth, armpit and rectum is often used to represent body temperature in clinical practice. The normal oral temperature of a person is 36.7-37.7℃ (average 37.2℃), the axillary temperature is 36.0-37.4℃ (average 36.8℃), and the rectal temperature is 36.9-37.9℃ (average 37.5℃). Among them, rectal temperature is closest to the internal temperature of the human body, but it is inconvenient to measure, so most people use armpit and oral measurements.
