Penicillin is a very common medicine in daily life. It has significant effects in the treatment of many diseases and is therefore deeply trusted by people. 1. Basic Information

Penicillin (Penicillin, or transliteration penicillin) is also known as penicillin G, peillin G, penicillin, penicillin sodium, benzylpenicillin sodium, penicillin potassium, and benzylpenicillin potassium. Penicillin is a type of antibiotic, which refers to a class of antibiotics that contains penicillin in its molecules, can destroy the cell walls of bacteria and have a bactericidal effect during the reproduction period of bacterial cells. It is an antibiotic extracted from Penicillium. Penicillin belongs to the β-lactam antibiotics (β-lactams), which include penicillins, cephalosporins, carbapenems, monocyclines, cephamycins, etc. Penicillin is a very commonly used antibacterial drug. However, a skin test must be done before each use to prevent allergies.

2. First aid measures

⒈ Stop taking the medicine immediately, lie down flat, and conduct first aid on the spot, with the head low and feet high.

⒉ Subcutaneous injection of 0.5-1 ml of 0.1% epinephrine hydrochloride. Reduce the dosage for children. 0.5 ml can be injected subcutaneously every half hour until the patient is out of the danger period. Add glucocorticoids or antihistamines if necessary.

⒊ For patients with cardiac arrest, perform external chest compression or intracardiac injection of 1 ml of 0.1% epinephrine hydrochloride.

⒋ Inhale oxygen, perform mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration in case of respiratory depression, and inject respiratory stimulants such as nikethamide or lobeline intramuscularly.

Tracheotomy is performed when laryngeal edema affects breathing.

⒌ Use 200 mg of hydrocortisone or 5-10 mg of dexamethasone added to 40 ml of 50% Glucose for intravenous injection, or add to 500 ml of 5-10% Glucose for intravenous drip.

⒍ Depending on the condition of the disease, vasoactive drugs such as dopamine, alamin, etc. can be used.

⒎Correct acidosis and use of histamine drugs.

⒏ Keep warm to prevent colds, keep good nursing records, and do not move.

⒐You can use acupuncture on emergency acupoints such as Ren Zhong, Nei Guan, Yin Tang, He Gu, Yong Quan, etc.

⒑You can use moxa sticks to moxibustion Neiguan, Hegu, Yongquan, Guanyuan, Zhongwan and other acupoints.

3. Usage and Dosage

⒈ Common dosage for adults: ① Intramuscular injection, 800,000 to 2 million U per day, divided into 3 to 4 doses; ② Intravenous drip, 2 million to 10 million U per day, divided into 2 to 4 doses.

⒉ Common dosage for children: ① Intramuscular injection, 20,000 to 50,000 U/kg, once every 12 hours. ② Intravenous administration, 50,000 to 200,000 U/kg per day, divided into 2 to 4 times.

⒊ Neonatal dose: 50,000 U/kg once, intramuscularly or intravenously, once every 12 hours in the first week after birth, once every 8 hours for >7 days, and once every 6 hours for severe infection.

⒋ Dose for premature infants: 30,000 U/kg in the first week, once every 12 hours, once every 8 hours from 2 to 4 weeks, and once every 6 hours thereafter.
