The difference between fever and heat stroke

If people are exposed to heat waves in a high-temperature environment while doing heavy physical labor, the heat evil will take the opportunity to invade the body and cause heatstroke. Therefore, summer is the peak period for heatstroke. Generally speaking, people who suffer from heat stroke will have fever and weakness in their limbs. These symptoms are very similar to those of a fever and can easily confuse people. So how do we distinguish between a fever and heat stroke?

The difference between heat stroke and fever

Heatstroke is caused by the external environment being too hot, which prevents the body from dissipating heat. It is often caused by exposure to the sun or heavy physical labor in a high temperature environment. Fever is caused by viral or bacterial infection inside the body. The causes of the two diseases are completely different.

How to distinguish between heat stroke and fever

When symptoms similar to fever or heat stroke appear, you can first perform physical cooling, and then observe carefully after the temperature drops. If the body temperature does not rise again, it is heat stroke. Just rest well and pay attention to ventilation. However, if your temperature drops and then rises again, it could be a fever.

Will heat stroke cause fever?

meeting. Heat stroke is a reaction inside human cells in a high temperature environment, which causes the cells to become pathological. This is heat stroke. There are two stages of heatstroke fever. The first stage is when fever occurs when a reaction occurs inside the cells under high temperature environment. The age group that suffers from fever at this stage is mainly infants and young children. Fever occurs when cells react internally, but it is generally not extremely high.

The second stage of fever occurs when the physiological activities of pathological cells decrease or tend to stagnate, and the intercellular circulation, that is, metabolism, cannot change with the changes in pathological cells, causing intercellular circulation disorders and leading to fever. This type of fever comes on very quickly, rising to over 41 degrees in about 30 minutes.

Can I take anti-inflammatory drugs to relieve the fever after heat stroke?

Can't. Heatstroke is different from fever. The increase in body temperature after heatstroke is not caused by infection. Do not use antibiotics on your own. You must follow the doctor's advice and use antipyretic drugs reasonably. Improper use of drugs will aggravate the symptoms and cause greater harm.
