The human spine, like the structure of a house, is responsible for supporting all the weight of the body. Sitting, lying, running, jumping, all postures and activities rely on the support of the spine. In fact, in addition to supporting the body, the spine also controls our health. Unfortunately, most people lack the concept of spinal health care, and often treat common problems such as back pain and hunchback as posture problems, rather than considering them as "illnesses". As a result, they often miss opportunities for correction and treatment, causing the body's imbalance to become increasingly serious.

The spine is the control center of the human body

The stack of vertebrae is called the spine. The spine is the main axis of the human skeleton and the control center of all activities. In addition to supporting the human body's structure, the spine is also the most important branch that protects the spinal cord. The spine is composed of thirty-three vertebrae, including seven cervical vertebrae, twelve thoracic vertebrae, five lumbar vertebrae, a sacrum formed by five sacral vertebrae, and a coccyx formed by four coccygeal vertebrae. Intervertebral foramina are formed between the vertebrae, which are the exits of the spinal nerves. They allow the spinal nerves to smoothly transmit information up and down the body and maintain the body's operation and functions.

The spinal cord has a total of 32 pairs of spinal nerves, including eight pairs of cervical nerves, twelve pairs of thoracic nerves, five pairs of lumbar nerves, five pairs of sacral nerves and one pair of coccygeal nerves. The spinal cord and brain together are the so-called central nervous system, which controls all functions of the human body, whether it is the sympathetic or parasympathetic nerves in the autonomic nervous system, or controlling the movements of the hands and feet, sensations, maintaining balance, etc., all rely on the spinal nerves in the spinal cord to transmit.
