Facial nerve paralysis is a relatively common disease at present. Facial nerve paralysis mainly comes from crooked mouth and squinting eyes, as well as restricted activities. Eating or swallowing will be affected. Patients with facial nerve paralysis will feel some numbness in their face at ordinary times. At this time, you should go to the hospital for examination first. It can be treated with acupuncture because acupuncture is very effective for facial nerve paralysis. Acupuncture treatment (I) Acupuncture points Main acupoints: Dicang, Shuigou, Quan, Sibai, Taiyang, Sizhukong, Yifeng and Jingming. Acupoints: Hegu and Neiting. (II) Governing Law Each time, select 4 to 5 main points and 1 auxiliary point. Facial acupoints can be treated with the penetrating needling method, with the needles selected according to the distance between the two points to be punctured. It is advisable to insert the needle about 0.3 inches after the needle tip reaches the stop point. When inserting the needle, it is advisable to quickly puncture the skin and then slowly push the needle in. Do not lift, insert or twist the needle. The needle body should form an angle of 10 to 15 degrees with the skin, and the needle tip should point to the stop point. You can place your left thumb or index finger on the skin to feel the position, direction, and depth of the needle tip and needle body. Optimally, the needle should be placed between the muscle fibers, but not too deep. The acupoints should be pierced straightly, and the needle should be left in place after the qi is clearly felt using a small amplitude vibration method. The needles were left in place for 20 to 30 minutes. During the period of needle retention, move the needle 1 to 2 times, apply the twisting method, and achieve balanced tonification and drainage. Take once a day or every other day, 10 times as a course of treatment, with 5 to 7 days between courses. Nursing measures 1. General care During the acute phase, you should rest adequately and keep your face warm. You can wear a mask when going out, and stay away from the window when sleeping to avoid catching a cold.
