Burns are wounds that occur when external high-temperature liquids or objects come into contact with the skin. Skin burns not only endanger physical health, but also cause great damage to the skin. In addition to treatment, you should also pay attention to some care measures after skin burns. You need to maintain adequate brain sleep in your life, pay attention to the cleanliness of burn wounds, and eat a light diet.

Nursing measures for burn patients are as follows:

1. Ensure adequate sleep.

2. To prevent cross infection, clean the floor and furniture with disinfectant.

3. Pay attention to the prevention of pressure sores. Massage the areas that are frequently under pressure with 50% ethanol every day.

4. Guidance on postural care after burns. Patients with burns on the front chest or face should lie in the supine position, or in the semi-recumbent position if the condition permits; patients with burns on the back and buttocks should lie in the prone position; patients with burns on the perineum should have their legs spread apart and abducted; patients with circumferential burns on the limbs should have the distal ends elevated; patients with circumferential burns on the trunk should be turned over every 3-6 hours.

5. Dietary care: it is advisable to eat high-protein, high-calorie, and high-vitamin foods. In the early stage of burns, such as patients with heat damage to body fluids, burn drinks can be given, 100-200 ml each time, 5-6 times a day. You can also use fresh reed root, fresh orchid root, and honeysuckle to boil water instead of tea; nasogastric feeding nutrition includes clear liquid food, mixed milk, and elemental diet. Start with 200-400ml of clear liquid food per day, and then gradually increase the amount. For patients with severe toxic heat, the diet should be light, with small meals and frequent meals. You can choose foods such as milk, eggs, tofu, and lean meat; for patients with evil retreat and body deficiency, you should take care of their eating habits, diversify their diet, and give them a high-calorie, high-vitamin, and high-protein diet.

6. Strengthen functional exercises and persist in doing them every day. It cannot be interrupted to prevent the scar from atrophy and deformity.

7. Choose an appropriate time to undergo plastic surgery according to the doctor's instructions.

Wound care

1. Nursing care for bandaging therapy: raise the bandaged limb and observe the blood circulation at the end of the bandaged limb; keep the dressing clean and dry.

2. Nursing of exposure therapy: The ward is equipped with an air disinfection device, and the temperature and humidity are appropriate; keep the wound clean and dry, avoid pressure on the wound, and turn the patient over regularly.

Infection care

1. Strict disinfection and isolation: maintain air circulation, disinfect the air in the ward regularly, disinfect the bed sheets, and wipe the surface of objects and floors with disinfectant.

2. Closely observe the patient's condition, use antibiotics as prescribed by the doctor, and change the dressing in time.

3. Take good care of the oral cavity and perineum to prevent wound contamination.

4. Nutritional support: Provide high-protein, high-calorie, high-vitamin or enteral and parenteral nutritional supplements.

5. Psychological care.

6. Rehabilitation care: In the early stages of burns, attention should be paid to maintaining limb function, encouraging patients to gradually perform limb and joint movement exercises, and protecting the face from ultraviolet radiation.
