Nowadays, every household has a washing machine, so washing clothes has become much simpler and more convenient than before. However, washing machines are not omnipotent. Not all stains on clothes can be cleaned with a washing machine, especially oil stains on clothes. Even if you use a washing machine to wash them, it will not have any effect. On the contrary, it will make the oil stains on your clothes more obvious. Therefore, you must use hand washing. You cannot use a washing machine just because you are afraid of trouble. In addition, you need to add some degreasing agents when washing by hand. Removal of smoke stains When red or purple velvet clothes are exposed to smoke, their colors often become dull and sometimes black spots appear. This is because the dye changes when it comes into contact with carbon dioxide. In this case, just spray it with alkaline water to restore its original color. Removing cigarette stains If your clothes are stained with cigarette stains, you can scrub them repeatedly with a 1% to 2% potassium permanganate solution, then rub them repeatedly with 3% hydrogen peroxide, and finally rinse them with clean water. Removing shoe polish stains If shoe polish gets on your clothes, you can wipe it with volatile oil and then use warm detergent to remove the residue. If white clothes are stained with shoe polish, moisten them with solvent gasoline and then rub them, then brush them with 10% ammonia water or concentrated ammonia soap solution, and finally rinse them with warm water. Asphalt Stains Removal If asphalt gets on woolen clothes, it will be difficult to wash it off with soap or gasoline. If the asphalt has not yet dried on the clothes, you can rub it in turpentine or benzene, then wash it with soapy water, and finally rinse it with clean water. If the asphalt has dried on the clothes, you can use a 1:1 mixture of turpentine and ether, soak the clothes stained with asphalt in the mixture for 10 minutes, then take them out and squeeze them dry, then wipe them with gasoline, rub them with soap, and finally rinse them with clean water. Removing wax paper correction fluid stains If you accidentally get wax paper correction fluid on your clothes, you can drop some alcohol on the stained area, wipe it repeatedly, and finally rinse it with clean water. After it dries, the stain will be removed. I believe many people already have a clear understanding of whether oil stains can be washed off. So there is no need to wash the entire piece of clothing after getting oil stains, because the more times the clothes are washed, the shorter their lifespan will be. Therefore, you can clean the oily parts in a targeted manner. You can add some baking soda to the cleaning water and dissolve it, which can wash away the oil stains well and prevent any oil stains from remaining on the clothes. |
