Oral capillary hemangioma

Oral capillary hemangioma

Oral capillary hemangioma is a benign tumor that is not contagious and may be congenital. It usually occurs in children. The tumors are mostly dark red, distributed in localized flakes, and are not large in size. The cause of oral capillary hemangioma is unknown. In most cases, it is a tumor occurring in the endothelial cells or glomerular cells of the blood vessels. It does not cause direct harm to the body and can be selectively removed according to the situation.

1. Oral hemangioma is a common disease. Due to the different sizes, types and locations of hemangiomas, there are many clinical treatment methods, but none of them has a good effect. With the development and application of laser technology, the problems of treating oral hemangiomas that are hardened, difficult to resect and in special locations have been solved. Special tumors that were untreatable in the past can now be easily treated. Because laser treatment methods are flexible and diverse, it is necessary to have a comprehensive understanding of the nature of various types of hemangiomas in the oral cavity.

2. This type is the most common in clinical practice, and is more common in children. The lesions are mainly composed of proliferating capillaries, which are closely arranged and diffuse or lobed. The tumor is higher than the skin surface and appears as bright red or purple plaques or nodules. Mucosal capillary hemangiomas often appear as polyp-like protrusions, are generally small in size, have no capsule, but have clear boundaries. When pressed with fingers, the tumor will shrink and turn white. After the pressure is released, the tumor will return to its original size and color.

3. Generally speaking, no matter where the hemangioma grows, as long as there is no sign of growth, you can observe it first. If there are symptoms of growth, it is necessary to treat it. The oral cavity is a common site for hemangioma. Because it grows in the part where people eat every day, it seriously affects people's lives; and according to the symptoms of different types, this disease may cause infection, bleeding or even lesions. Hemangiomas in infants and young children, well, may be eliminated with the use of hormones, or they may also be eliminated as they age, this is something you need to observe more. The main treatment methods include cryosurgery, laser surgery and surgical excision.

4. The oral cavity is a common site for hemangiomas, which can be divided into capillary hemangiomas, cavernous hemangiomas, mixed hemangiomas, and racemose hemangiomas. The first three types are common in clinical practice, while racemose hemangioma is rare in clinical practice. Capillary hemangioma: Hemangioma is formed by the proliferation of a large number of capillaries in the mucosal layer. It appears as a red or purple-red circular patch on the cheek mucosa, which is level with the surface of the oral mucosa or slightly higher than the mucosa. It fades when pressed and has clear boundaries. Bleeding is often caused by abrasions of the mucous membrane when chewing food. Capillary hemangiomas can also occur in deep tissues, such as the masseter muscle and parotid gland. Its borders are unclear, the surface skin color is normal, it is hard and incompressible when palpated, and a small amount of blood can be drawn by puncture.
