How to treat rhinitis caused by allergic mites?

Dust mite allergic rhinitis is a relatively common symptom of rhinitis. It is caused by the nasal mucosa being allergic to dust mites in the air. Suffering from dust mite allergic rhinitis is prone to constant sneezing and runny nose, which is very bad for the body. It can also easily cause symptoms of itchy eyes. There are many ways to treat dust mite allergic rhinitis. You can first treat it with medication, or you can inject desensitization drugs.

Injection desensitization therapy

Allergen injection desensitization therapy involves intradermal injection of allergen extracts. Desensitization injections start with a small dose and gradually increase the dose to increase tolerance to the allergen. Injection desensitization treatment generally takes at least 2 to 3 years, and long-term injections will cause certain pain.

Sublingual desensitization therapy

Sublingual desensitization therapy is to make allergy-inducing substances (such as dust mite active proteins) into desensitizing solutions of different concentrations, and administer them daily in a small dose that the patient can adapt to (drop the desensitization drops under the tongue, allow it to be slowly absorbed, and swallow it after 1 to 3 minutes). The dose is gradually increased, and after reaching the maintenance level, it is continued for a sufficient period of time to improve the patient's tolerance.

Sublingual desensitization, sublingual desensitization therapy is to use the extract of allergens to drip under the tongue to make the respiratory mucosa tolerate, thereby alleviating or controlling allergic symptoms and achieving the purpose of desensitization treatment. The downside is that it is only effective for dust mite allergies.

Nano-desensitization treatment

Modern medicine believes that most allergic diseases are type I hypersensitivity reactions of the upper respiratory tract mucosa to allergens such as inhaled dust, insect eggs, house dust and cold air.

Nano-desensitization therapy changes the route of administration and penetrates into the body through the skin. The acupoint desensitization patch is encapsulated with multiple allergen dry powders, and Tio2 (titanium dioxide) nanocrystals are added and equipped with far-infrared gaskets. Under the catalysis of light and far-infrared rays, Tio2 (titanium dioxide) nanocrystals can effectively decompose organic matter in allergen dry powder and produce free small molecule antigens; at the same time, Tio2 (titanium dioxide) nanocrystals can decompose skin stratum corneum proteins under photocatalysis, increase the gaps between epithelial tissues, and help promote the continuous and maximum penetration of small molecule antigens into the skin and into the human body. Under the long-term continuous stimulation of these antigens, the body gradually develops immune tolerance and will not respond to further contact with allergens, thus achieving complete desensitization.

prevention

1. Avoid cold stimulation. When patients with allergic asthma return home from playing outside in a sweat, they should not immediately enter the air-conditioned room, and certainly not open the refrigerator and drink cold drinks. Patients with allergic asthma can wipe off the sweat on their bodies with a towel, drink some warm water, and then enjoy the air conditioning after their emotions are stable.

2. Pay attention to ventilation and cleaning of air-conditioned rooms. In rooms where air conditioning is used, the air cannot be thoroughly refreshed and circulated. The viruses and dust accumulated in the air conditioner may also induce asthma. There have been reports of "air conditioners inducing asthma" in foreign countries. It can be said that air conditioning is one of the main causes of asthma in children in summer. Therefore, the air-conditioned room should be thoroughly cleaned every day and windows should be opened regularly for ventilation.

3. The air conditioning temperature should not be too low. It must be noted that the difference between indoor and outdoor temperatures should not exceed 5°C, and patients with allergic asthma should not be allowed to face the air outlet of the air conditioner.

4. Patients with allergic asthma should try to avoid drinking cold drinks. In summer, allergic asthma patients consume a lot of cold drinks, which is also a "cold" stimulation. "Cold" is also an allergen for children with asthma and is an important cause of asthma regardless of the season.

The main cause of dust mite allergic rhinitis is dust mites, so the main measure to prevent the disease is to keep patients away from dust mites. Although there is no most effective way to eliminate dust mites and measures to avoid dust mites, some methods have been found to reduce the density of indoor dust mites, mainly including the following two aspects.

Control dust mite growth

Reduce house dust mite density and avoid exposure. The effectiveness of avoiding dust mites to prevent dust mite allergic asthma has been demonstrated by complete remission of symptoms in patients living in a mite-free environment. Related studies have confirmed that patients with dust mite allergic asthma who live in a mite-free room and completely avoid dust mite contact will experience a significant reduction in airway hyperresponsiveness and complete relief of their condition starting from one week. After continuing to avoid contact for one month, airway hyperresponsiveness can return to normal or near-normal levels.
