What are the dietary taboos for liver cancer? Be careful of liver cancer if you drink this kind of water for a long time

Liver cancer is a relatively serious internal disease and is also relatively common in my country. The causes of liver cancer in today's society are related to the accelerated pace of life and work, changes in diet, etc. The main bad habits in life that may be the cause of liver cancer are as follows.

4 bad habits that lead to liver cancer

1. Long-term drinking

The liver is the main organ for digesting alcohol. Excessive alcohol can lead to decreased liver function, which is the main cause of liver cancer.

2. Pickled, fried, smoked and grilled food

Long-term consumption of pickled, fried, smoked and grilled foods can also induce liver cancer. This is most likely because the toxins produced in these foods enter the body and then cause liver cancer.

3. Polluted water

Long-term drinking of water contaminated by polychlorinated biphenyls, chloroform, etc. is also a major cause of liver cancer.

4. Eating moldy food

This is a common cause of liver cancer. Studies have found that moldy food will produce a toxic metabolite called aflatoxin in its mold, and aflatoxin is the strongest biological carcinogen discovered today.

Dietary taboos for liver cancer patients

(1) Do not eat moldy food. Aflatoxin (AFB) is a strong liver carcinogen and may be the initiator or promoter of human liver cancer. It has a synergistic carcinogenic effect with viral hepatitis B.

(2) Do not eat foods containing nitrosamines, such as pickled foods. Nitrosamines are carcinogens and are more commonly found in pickled vegetables, pickled fish, duck and chicken. Try to eat less or no nitrosamines.

(3) Avoid drinking sewage. There are many organic carcinogens and cancer promoters in lakes and ponds, as well as a type of blue-green algae that is easy to grow. Its toxic effect on the liver has been identified as another adverse factor for liver cancer.

(4) Avoid excessive drinking. Drinking large amounts of alcohol for a long time can cause alcohol poisoning, which in turn can cause liver damage. Over time, it can lead to alcoholic cirrhosis, which in some patients can then develop into liver cancer.

(5) Do not eat smoked fish or smoked meat, as they can produce carcinogenic chemicals.

(6) Avoid smoking and drink less coffee. Cigarettes contain more than 20 types of toxic substances such as nicotine and benzopyrene, which can cause cancer. The caffeine in coffee can destroy the B vitamins in the body, and the lack of B vitamins is related to the occurrence of cancer. Therefore, liver cancer patients should avoid smoking and drink less coffee.

(7) Avoid insufficient protein intake. When the intake of nutrients is insufficient, especially when the daily protein intake is less than 60g, chemotherapy can easily damage the liver. Once liver damage is found, such as elevated transaminase, chemotherapy should be stopped and protein supplements should be given. Chemotherapy can be continued only after liver function returns to normal.

(8) Liver cancer patients should avoid eating too much sugar. Eating too much sugar can affect the body's immunity, and the lactic acid produced by glycolysis can create favorable conditions for the survival of cancer cells. Therefore, liver cancer patients should eat less sugar.
