What are the symptoms of rheumatic pain

Many people do not know what the term "rheumatic pain" means. Simply put, in traditional Chinese medicine theory, wind evil and dampness invade the human body, and the patient's immunity happens to be low, thus causing blockage and obstruction of the body's muscles. This disease will bring great pain to patients, so when symptoms of the disease appear, timely treatment should be carried out, and some adjustments should also be made in life and diet.

Symptoms of rheumatic pain

1. Fever:

It can be divided into low fever, moderate fever, or high fever. It is often manifested as irregular fever, generally without chills, antibiotics are ineffective, and the erythrocyte sedimentation rate is fast. Diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, adult Still's disease, acute neutrophilic febrile dermatosis, and panniculitis can all have fever as the first symptom.

2. It is not only the main symptom of rheumatic fever, but also an important cause of functional disorders.

The most common involvement is in the joints and their structures; involvement of the trunk and limbs is seen in visceral and nervous system lesions. Joint pain, neck and shoulder pain, low back pain, and heel pain are often the main manifestations of rheumatic heat arthralgia, sometimes accompanied by joint swelling. Rheumatoid arthritis often has symmetrical joint swelling and pain, especially in the finger joints and wrist joints; ankylosing spondylitis has low back pain, which worsens when resting and may be accompanied by heel pain and red eyes; polymyalgia rheumatica has neck and shoulder pain, limb girdle muscle weakness and muscle weakness.

3. Raynaud's sign:

Seen in scleroderma, rheumatoid arthritis, mixed connective tissue disease, and systemic lupus erythematosus. The finger (toe) tips turn white when exposed to cold or emotional excitement, and then turn purple or red, or are accompanied by numbness of the finger (toe), and in severe cases, skin ulcers may occur.

4. System damage:

Rheumatic arthralgia includes many types of diseases. Some types of rheumatic diseases, especially autoimmune connective tissue diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis, may cause damage to multiple organs, such as carditis (pericarditis, myocarditis, endocarditis), kidney damage (proteinuria, hematuria, edema, hypertension, renal failure), blood system (leukopenia, erythropenia, thrombocytopenia, blood volume, etc.), respiratory system (interstitial pneumonia, pulmonary hypertension, pleural effusion), digestive system (liver damage, jaundice), etc.

Dietary treatment for rheumatic pain

1. A special diet homologous to traditional Chinese medicine to treat diseases. Rheumatic arthritis patients are given different dietary treatments based on the symptoms of deficiency, cold, and heat. Tonify deficiency, cold and heat, heat and cold, warm and cool, cool to warm. For example, if you have joint pain, you should use pepper, ginger and warm products, but avoid cold and damp products; use products such as coix seed, Job's tears, and black beans. Rheumatism should be treated with dispersing drugs such as onions and ginger; generally, dampness and heat are intertwined, so a light diet can be beneficial, and spicy and irritating foods should be avoided.

2. Steaming, stewing, boiling, soup and wine soaking are beneficial to the diet of patients with rheumatism and arthritis. They can cook delicious food and maintain its performance. Salad oil, corn oil, olive oil, sunflower oil and fish oil are generally used for cooking. Cooking methods such as frying, roasting, boiling and stir-frying are generally not used.

3. Rheumatic arthritis patients often suffer from long-term illness and physical weakness, so they need to have a moderate and reasonable diet. Therefore, you cannot overeat or be hungry when eating, you need to be punctual and eat appropriately. The diet should follow the principle of small meals, less spicy, high-protein, and fatty foods, low in sugar, high in vitamins, less calories and salt, and delicious foods that are easy to digest. The percentage of dietary carbohydrates, dietary protein and fat is 3:2:1.

4. The daily diet of patients with rheumatic arthritis should be delicious and increase appetite. The food is mainly vegetarian, such as carrots, bean sprouts, seaweed, onions, kelp, fungus, dried fruits, plums, strawberries, bananas, tomatoes, oranges, salicylic acid, cucumbers and other foods rich in vitamin E and C.
