The correct way to use the coarse salt hot compress pack

Coarse salt hot compress packs are very effective in treating many diseases. For example, when there is a lot of moisture in the human body, you can use it to do hot compresses on the soles of the feet, which can have a good dehumidifying effect. If women have symptoms of dysmenorrhea, coarse salt hot compress packs can also relieve pain. However, you must pay attention to using the coarse salt hot compress pack properly to be effective. So, what is the correct way to use the coarse salt hot compress pack?

Traditional coarse salt hot compress steps

1. Choose the right coarse salt:

Use 3 to 5 kilograms of large-grain coarse salt (not the fine salt for cooking), preferably blue salt (sea salt), but rock salt or lake salt can also be used.

2. Heat the salt :

Heat the loose salt in a pan and put it into a large cloth bag. This bag is more than 30 cm wide from left to right and more than 20 cm wide from top to bottom. It is made of coarse cotton cloth (do not use chemical fiber fabrics). Three sides are sewn shut, and one side is unsewn to make it easier to hold salt. The unsewn side is left a little longer so that it can be folded back to prevent the salt from leaking out.

The salt is very hot when it is just out of the pot. You can put a towel under the bag and remove it when it is not too hot. The bag should be covered with something to prevent the heat from dissipating too quickly.

3. Place the salt bag flat on your lower abdomen.

Apply the mask for half an hour to an hour each time. Do this at least once a day for a few months. If you can fry another bag of salt and place it on the sacrum (below the waist), the effect will be better.

Coarse salt hot compress method to relieve arthritis

Fold a towel in half and sew three sides together, leaving an opening. When sewing, try to sew as tightly as possible to prevent the coarse salt particles from leaking out. Put 1 kg of coarse salt in a pan and fry it until it is hot. Put the heated coarse salt into the towel bag through the reserved opening and sew up the opening. Place the prepared coarse salt hot compress pack on the joints that have symptoms such as pain and fear of cold. Apply the hot compress for 15-20 minutes each time until the coarse salt gradually cools down. If the temperature of the hot compress is high, you can put some towels under the affected area to avoid burns. The hot compress pack is reusable and can be heated in a microwave.
