Left rib fracture is also a relatively common one. After the fracture occurs, first aid should be given and fixed treatment should be performed in time. The patient will experience pain. At this time, the pain can be relieved by taking painkillers or intramuscular injections. In addition, the patient should rest in bed and strengthen diet. Generally speaking, the recovery time of rib fracture is relatively not particularly long. It requires strengthening good treatment, which can gradually recover in a short time. What to do if the left rib is fractured Closed single rib fractures can usually heal on their own and do not require special treatment. During on-site first aid, a triangular bandage or cloth belt can be used to suspend the affected limb in front of the chest (picture) and the ipsilateral limb can be used to protect the injured chest wall. Note that the injured person should remain sitting when being sent to the hospital. Also, do not give the patient painkillers easily to avoid masking the injury. For complex rib fractures accompanied by hemothorax, the injured person can immediately seal the wound with his palm or an airtight dressing 5 cm larger than the wound edge in the early stage. If the patient has severe breathing difficulties, use sticky tape to fix the airtight soft dressing, sealing the top, left and right sides, leaving the downward side empty to facilitate exhaust. Then place a cushion made of towel or clothing between the chest and the injured arm, and use a cloth strap to support the arm and suspend it in front of the chest. The arm should be pressed firmly against the cotton pad. Then let the injured person lie half-lying, support his back with appropriate materials, and make the injured side face down. Call an ambulance and take to hospital. For abnormal breathing caused by multiple rib fractures, a larger cushion should be placed on the injured part, a triangle should be used to support the injured arm, and a wide band should be used to fix the injured arm to the chest to prevent abnormal movement of the chest wall. Then let the injured person sit in a semi-sitting position, support his back with appropriate materials, and let the injured side face down. Call 120 immediately and take the ambulance to the hospital. The operation of the hand hanger is as follows: 1. Place the injured forearm diagonally across your chest with your fingers against the opposite clavicle and your elbow at an angle of 30-45 degrees. 2. Open the triangular bandage fully to cover your forearm and back of your hand, with the tip of the bandage extending behind your elbow. 3. Place the tail of the belt over the uninjured shoulder, keeping your forearm in the original position. At the same time, fold the tip and bottom of the bandage into your forearm and wrap the lower part of the triangular bandage around your back to the front of the uninjured shoulder. Carefully adjust the sling to the appropriate height, then tie the upper and lower ends of the triangular bandage in the depression on the clavicle of the uninjured side and check the wrist artery pulse to ensure that the blood supply is normal. |
