Pigmented purpuric dermatosis is a relatively common skin disease, which is mainly caused by the outward infiltration of infrared cells in the lymphocyte medium. This disease has many manifestations. For example, large red needle points will appear in the early stage of the disease, which will gradually spread outward. Patients will experience itching, which will cause chronic symptoms. Sometimes the symptoms will last for many years. 1. Progressive pigmented purpuric dermatosis Initially, they are clustered pinpoint red petechiae, which then become dense patches and gradually expand outward. The center turns brown, but new petechiae continue to occur, scattered in old lesions or at their edges, appearing as pepper-like spots. The number of lesions varies, and they often occur in the anterior tibial area. They appear as symmetrical pigmented patches, often without any subjective symptoms, but sometimes with mild itching. This disease is more common in adult males. The course of the disease is chronic and may resolve on its own after several years. 2. Telangiectatic purpura annulare Initially, it appears as a purple-red annular macules with a diameter of 1-3 cm. The capillaries at the edges are obviously dilated, and there are dot-like and pinpoint-sized red petechiae. The central part of the lesion gradually recedes, and the periphery expands to take on a ring-like, semi-ring-like, or concentric circle-like appearance. The color of the lesions may be brown, purple-brown or yellow-brown. It often occurs on the extensor side of the calf and is more common in women. It may disappear naturally, but new rashes may reappear around its edges, and this may last for one to several years. 3. Pigmented purpuric lichenoid dermatitis The rash is composed of small rust-colored lichenoid papules with purpuric lesions, which merge into ill-defined patches or plaques with erythema, scaling, and varying degrees of pruritus. It most commonly occurs on the calves, but can also affect the legs, trunk, and upper limbs. It is more common in people aged 40-60, especially in men. The disease may last for months or years. |
